Thread: Weapons worth making?

I thought i'd specialize in making melee weapons only. Alot easier, less resources. Anyway, i remembered having read a list that some weaponsmith made with the weapons he made and didn't make. It gave reasons for not doing certain items, such as: ryyk sword has worse range stats and less damage than curved sword so he only made them for custom orders. Things like that. I thought it was very useful, but didnt save the bookmark.
If anyone recognises this, I'd appreciate a link to that list again.

I didn't think the condition stat carries over from sub-componants...?

It doesn't, but my base VKs on Wanderhome come out to 146 max and the use of the heavy duty motor pushes them to 147. Im not even sure why.

I can't speak to the post you're searching for but I can say this as another WS that specializes in melee.
I would hold off on doing large runs of any melee weapons right now until the CU hits. You don't want to be caught on May 5 with large amounts of unsellable stock.
Ican offer the following about melee weapons and purchasing preferences as they relate to my vendors. I'll give you numbered lists in terms of popularity.

I know you were looking for the reasoning behind not making certain items and I hope you do find that list you're after, but be sure as a Melee WS that you carry some of absolutely everything. I have dedicated customers that come back to me simply because I stock Survival Knives. They appreciate the effort and know that if they come to my vendors they'll be able to find anything they need.
