Thread: Green Geonosian Power Cubes: Some Info

I looted a stack of Green Geonosian Power Cubes today, stats on them are Integrity: 6000, Unit Integrity: 250. I thought perhaps this would affect the outcome of the Durability of the final product(Imagine having a Power Hammer with a durability of 7000.) So I tested one out by making a Geonosian Reinforcement Core, and used the core to make a hammer. And the result was....

nothing. Same stats as a regular power hammer. Unless there is some hidden stat that makes it decay slower, but I still can't justify charging more for a hammer on that possibility. If this is a bug, it doesn't surprise me. If it's intentional, then why give the Green Cubes those stats in the first place? Any body have any other thoughts or expirements run?

I haven't tried them in guns yet, since I don't have the schems for them. I am just warning anybody that may think putting one of these Green Cubes in your sword cores to get a high durability Scythe, don't waste your time.

If used in the Disruptor, the 'Unit Integrity' value is added directly to the Disruptor's (yuck) low Condition value. Been making the farking things all day, tired of em.

EDIT: The Disruptor is the only thing I tried them on, YMMV with other (old or new) weapons. UI:322 added (or seemed to) 322 to thebase 620-ish condition Disruptor, and UI:250 added (or seemed to) 250 tothe base 620-ish condition Disruptor.

Thanks for the info. Alas, green power cubes are as useful as white ones for the melee weaponsmith. I guess it's time to find someone with some money burning a whole in their pocket.

Perhaps that's exactly why they made the integrity cubes for just these two armor types... to make them not nearly as "useless". I think the overall goal of the game is that nothing should really be useless, everything has a purpose or attribute that should make it desirable to at least some subset of the population. This could be a step in that direction, though I admit RIS armor is in demand solely because of it's rarity so far. But I've heard that a good set of composite is considered superior to the RIS by some, so every little extra perk helps.

Integrity is an armorsmith stat, the cubes are required for the two armorsmith schematics that drop from the acklay (BONE AND RIS ARMOR, COULD THEY POSSIBLY PICK ANYTHING MORE USELESS). I havetwo sets of green cubes but I haven't gotten around to seeing what happens with them in a DXR6 yet.

Do they have the same stats Mulletman mentioned (Integrity & Unit Integrity)? I wonder if we're seeing different types of stats on cubes too.. No jest though, the condition on my Disruptor when I used Yellow (damage) cubes was very low, in the 600's - I can't remember if I read it or just tried it, but I stuck Green cubes (don't recall the Integrity rating, but the Unit Integrity was 328 or somesuch), and it brought the condition on that Disruptor into the mid 900 range (that I take as normal/good).

RIS armor is rendered useless by the stat-shifting bug, and bone armor just sucks. +6k condition to either of these isn't going to address the reasons why no one uses them.

Since the green cubes actually affect weapons, I'm probably going to use them instead of red cubes because -4 HAM is pretty insignificant on something with T21-level HAM costs and I'd hate to get an good damage slice on a DXR6 and lose it to a failed repair a week later because it's only got 700 condition.

Put simply, this is what happens:

You put the green cubes with a condition modifier into a Geonosian reinforcement core, which doesn't have a condition modifier. Hence, the condition modifier is lost.
