Ok... I hope I speak for many WS's here... When it comes to experimentation tapes, If we're a master, then why should we really care if we get 2 more points? (NOTE: to get 2 bonus experimentation points, we need a total skill modifier of +20!!!!) Many (most?) of us don't use 99% of the weapons/types that we make... so, those bonus points, are for YOU, the customer, the combat professional (also, the one voted, "most likely to find skill tapes/attachments"). So, it's actually in the best interest of CUSTOMERS, to REDUCE the price of said skill modifiers, since it directly benefits YOU, NOT us.

To answer your question: IMHO, a +1 skill tape is absolutely worthless, as I can not wear 10, or 20 items of clothing (you can't stack multiple of same skill tapes, in 1 article of clothing, but mods DO stack, if in different articles of clothing). So, if I wore a +1 mod, in all my clothes, I still wouldn't have enough to make up 1 bonus experimentation point. Therefore, USELESS. My 2 cents? GIVE it to the next WS that crafts you a custom weapon, as a partial payment, or as a "thank you" for his/her time and effort. (They'll remember you for it, and there's a good chance you'll get future "off the books" discounts...)

Do I sound bitter? Why shouldn't I? All I see are ridiculous prices for worthless items... Sure, I'd buy them if they were 6k or less, on the bazaar somewhere. but 50k....100k... 500k... 1 million.. all prices I have seen for these tapes. If you want ME to make you the BEST weapon possible (2 bonus exp points), then YOU should provide the tapes

Untill such time, my customers will get the BEST that my BEST resources, time, and effort, can create.

Bile soaked teeth... They're kinda cool, roughly comparable to the advanced components that a master can already make, however. The ham costs (If I remember correctly) are actually HIGHER on the teeth, than they are on the Teeth.

the 50k guess is from what I have seen on the trade forums and what a fellow WS told me to sell it for (He did not need it). Other tapes usually cost 5-10 kif +1. Actually I find it quite easy to wear enough clothing with sockets to reach +20 if not ALL of them are +1. But I am an architect, no WS.

So the teeth as components are not as good enough as advanced components that a master WS can already make ?

+1's are not worthless. You can wear7 items. Get yourself the new Bandoiler that is +3, a +2 and the rest +1's. You are at your 10 for the extra point. While some you may not feel that the extra point or 2 is worth it I feel it is one of my best investments. I doubled my traffic of weapons when announcing that I got the extra point. It especailly helps now with items like the disruptor rifle that starts as a 640's condition. Having the 1-2 extra points there is a huge boost for your weapon. While you will eventually need to get higher tapes for the starting ws it can be very useful. And with the changes proposed for publish 7 if you don't have that extra +2 you could find yourself out of business as you might not even be able to max out a weapon's damage. Few things to think about if you want to survive in the up-comming world.

+1 tapes are useful to the people who have 119 weapon experimentation in 6 items of clothing and need that one more to hit +120 50k is fair


Bile Soaked Rancor Teeth, IMO are useless. They only add 12 max damage, decrease min damage by 20-30 and slow the sword down .3 and increase the HAM by 20 in every stat. IMO not worth it. I destroy any I get unless someone really wants a sword made from them.
