Thread: Question for Weaponsmiths about Pikes

I've never been a WS (not even a respec WS) so this may be a dumb question... but i'm sorry I just can't find the answer....
I see in the Pikeman forums, screenshots of the pretty 380dps (base)VL's, making me have pike envy 
I'm constantly seeing auctions for FWG5's and Carbines with 380-400 base DPS, yet nobody's selling pike's 
Searching the "All Vendor Galaxy Wide" thing from the bazaar terminal pulls up VL's priced in the millions (have seen up to 10m). Discounting those with stats like +25 to ______ etc.... most of them are pretty low DPS. Severely overpriced. The one I'm using is 300DPS base, only cost me 800k.
My noob question is, where are all the pikes at? Do they not sell very well, so they just aren't crafted? Do FWG5s and Carbines take optional subcomponents that give them this DPS and Pikes do not?
I really don't understand

Problem is that Post CU it isnt possible to create good pikes as there is absolutely no Enhancers that can give a nice damage. Best thing we have is High powered vibro motors that doesnt go much over 38 meaning only enhances max dam of ordinary pikes with 38.
So htat is the reason.
The high DPS pikes you see is Pre CU looted ones and we as WS have no possibility of matching the stats on those (neither on the ROTW pikes)
so there you have it, its not cause we dont want to (Believe me Id love to help out the pikeys ) Its cause we simple havnet got any way of making nice pikes post CU

Yeah and tell him to go together with the TKA corro, the Swordman corro and the fencer corro as they are in some ways facing the same problem with their enhancers not being even close to as good as the one used in ranged weapons

well, that's kind of a mixed bag. I was half heartedly thinking about changing to swords or TK (i've recently come back and still have my respec open) At least I can set that aside now since if I went swords or TK i'd still be in the same boat. Definitly don't want to do ranged. I'm stubbornly sticking with pikes.
