As a former weaponsmith who plans on going back at some point in time I find my house / friends houses / bank / factories litered with hundreds of resourcesand components I use in crafting. We need to talk the devs into creating some sort of Resource Storage Container for houses so we don't take upeveryslot with the resources / components we have. It should function like a backpack you wear. Have each container hold 100 resources and it would only take up 1 slot in your house. Post your opinions or ideas and hopefully sees this and gets the message.

I think that's rather unrealistic, since the main problem for the devs is, as stated multiple times, the actual server load of all the items (size-wise). You have a limited amount of items at your disposal, otherwise would overload the server (Just look at the vendor problem).

They could fix that in two ways though, making crates hold more items per, and making resources have larger stacks, regardless of what the devs say, there is no way that can possibly be game breakingly exploited

Except the limitations on storage is part of the whole "decay" idea. If you can mine and then store enormous quantites of a great resource, it'll never be used up. So, they limit how fast you can get it out of the ground, and how much you can store to try and flush the resources out of the game.
