Thread: noob speed question

I didn't find this on the FAQ so forgive the question. When i look at the speed rating on a weapon what does that number mean? Is a 2.2 faster than a 1.7? or vice versa?

Smaller is better, 1.7 is faster (better) than 2.2. The number is supposed to represent the firing rate of the weapon.
