Or will they (like the DE-10) keep their stats?

I hope so (and I'm a master pistoleer), I personally want to see most stun weapons end up serving more of a role for temporarily immobilizing targets while inflicting little to no bodily harm (like in the films.)

I doubt it happens though, it just seems kinda odd that stun weapons rule PvP when they were only really used for taking prisoners.

I just ment stats. The devs have confirmed taht Stun will no longer be the major vulnerablity of the game.

I would suspect we'll be seeing a stat drop on pretty much EVERY weapon.

Plus, these HAM changes they've hinted about? I'm willing to bet that with those, and the buff nerf, efficiency will be the new thing to experiment.

Hoping I'm wrong though.

Yeah, results are pathetic, but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed things up a bit. As long as they're screwing with one piece of combat, why not all of it?

I'm probably wrong, and just taking a apocalyptic view of things, but it's interesting to think about, don't you think?

It's something that's actually bothered me. If buffs really do get nerfed as hard as I've been hearing, and the new HAM system means you can't stim yourself to perform more specials, people will actually have to carefully pick their attacks and spend most of their time auto-attacking.

Sounds kinda dull to me...

Pretty dull is what we got now. Where buffs utterly detour people from group fighting and even participateing in pvp. If I am not buffed I need to be down right suicidal to take on someone who is. Sure its possible to take a buffed opponent down, but near impossible. It usually entails an imperic victory. Where its yay I killed you it only took three trips to the cloner and my fire knockdown finally stuck yay.

Look at it logically the speed formula gets revamped. This means that people will need to switch between guns in combat. A riflemen might use a t21 to do specials and switch up to a e11 for auto attacks. One the T21 is slower but does more damage while the e11 might be a heck of alot faster.

Range will become more important since right now its a **edit** child of combat proficency. Now you will actually need to use that gun at its ideal range or risk being eaten alive. This will mean that players will have to consistently move to maintain their ideal, and perhaps even use stances to increase their chance to hit with a special. Instead of running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Buffs cut we got spoiled, and I will give you an example. I was training up on my smuggler, and with a dh17 buffs brandy and food. I soloed four mountain squill at once. Four mountain squills at once for a novice smuggler. This strikes me as retarded plain and simple.

I love armor to eighty percent resist composite. Where most weapons are not even heavy armor peirceing. Nothing like hitting a guy with what should total up to seven or eight thousand points of damage. Then to realize you only did 1200.

Some of this stuff was way out of line, and its not like they tried to fix some of this stuff. They capped composite once. They tried to nerf the buffs, but people were just logging out and back on to get buffed until the buffs reached what they wanted. They have capped some of the speed mods in the game already. I cannot beleive you would say this is dull. Maybe to a spam artist who never wanted to participate in fair logical strategic fights. I can see how its uber cool to hit the same hot key ten times in a row and run around. The combat system in the game now is dull. This is the breath of fresh air.

Dull because instead of spamming the same attack over and over (also dull. I like to use strategy, which entails using different specials with different effects), you will instead be using a limited amount of specials, but mostly kicking back and auto-attacking.

That is...doing NOTHING.

See why I think it's dull?

As for hot-swapping weapons in combat, I heard that it's going to be a 3-second lag to switch weapons and armor. That'll kill you in PvP.

I think the geo blaster is what medium or is it heavy armor peircing. While I doubt that they will remove the gun. Future models will be lackluster.

The new ham system is a non buffed system where you draw specials from. So the inate ham on some of these weapons will temper the use of them. In other words spamming will be less of a key as the inate weapons quality will be far more important. You got 500 specials ham points to use, and it rebuilds slowly. You do 6 specials the pool is depleted. Now you have to rely on your weapons regular strength to get by. Low hamming a weapon will only get you one more special maybe. Also everyones speed mods are going to get cut heavily. I have heard even at master you might sliver off a second, and that is about it. So underdoing the damage speed could cripple you in a fight.

I cannot wait for the new system to be up and running. It will be nice to see fights get strategic again.

The geo blaster is a stun pistol with no AP at all, you must be thinking of the DXR-6b Disrupter Rifle which is a rifleman weapon (obviously) the geo blaster never had any ap. and i doubt ever will.

I know the devs said the DE-10 is combat rebalance style. It's a slow, powerful pistol.
