stealth nerf or bug? i'm pretty sure they said it would apply to everything and would stack with SEAs.

thats what they said.......
but it only gives greater chance for amazings (still nice for me as an armorsmith but not nearly as nice as 2 more points)

Supposidly justg said on these boards they were removing it form the game for smiths because it would creat to much of an imbalance or some crap.
I havent taken the time to look for the actual post myslef, just basing it off of what my bro told me on the tele a few weeks ago.
I am idifferent either way, I thought it would have been sweet, but so far it just lessens the chance of great and amazing successes, which isnt all tht bad a thing either. (but not as cool as 14 points)
But if it was announced, then it wasnt technically a stealth nerf....*ducks*

The last official statement was stacking with SEAs would occur (at Fanfest). Obviously that is not occuring now, but I have never heard an official announcement saying it was decided to not do that. I would like a link if it exists.
I was thinking maybe they were waiting until Publish 11 to turn it on since I had heard nothing about it. Some sort of confirmation whether or not it will be implemented at some point in the near future or not would be appreciated.

y'all bitched too much that someone else might get to 14 before you, so they took it out. Don't blame the devs, blame your fellow Weaponsmiths. It only seems to me that you would want 14 pts smiths. The percentage difference between 12 and 14 is less than the difference between 12 and 10. Anyone can get the two force pts, not everyone can afford the 2 sea pts. I'd rather be a 12 competing with a 14 than a 10 competing with a 12, but if we all understood this, we wouldn't be able to read stupid arguments in the forums.

Does anyone know of an actual link to the latest official word on this?

I can't get it to work on lightsabers even, so they must have nerfed it to just improving experimentation success.

apparently the skill description for the experimentation thingwas changedto say it increases chance of success, a la bespin port and research specialization.
i don't know why they would stealth-change this instead of making an announcement.

there is no announcment. The devs think we are a bunch of fools (and might be as we pay forthis game after all) and thought they could slip it by without us noticing

They changed it, and after extensive testing they made you have a 60% chance of getting an amazing success over a great success.
Which essentially means that it is possible to sit down (for about an hour) and craft an item, one point by one point and get an amazing success each time.
An amazing success is 120% of a great success about.
So if we get 120% 12 times, we esentially get2 more points.
So they took away 2 points for the casual WS and gave2 to the hard core WS.

well I know that EVERYONE is sick of all the jedi running around. There is some 75 page thread to remove them from the game even. After publish 10 it will only get worse. I thought the 14point crafter and other things were a fantastic idea because it would be a tradeoff. Obviously making someone master 32 professions wasnt slowing down the rate of jedi in the game. This, however, trading a jedi to get bonuses to your non-jedi, seemed to be a fantastic idea to lower the number of jedi. Too bad they didnt keep it in the game.
