Part of what prompted me to bring this up lies in that I wanted to hold a player event CDEF war. The problem is - because the CDEF Rifle and CDEF Carbines have other weapons with the same graphics, it is hard to catch cheaters.
SeaRaptor, I notice you mentioned the DLT20 rifle and DLT20a rifle having the same graphics in your stickied December post. It is more than just that though. After looking further, here is a list of weapons that have the same graphic though different stats and certs.
-DLT20 Rifle, DLT20a Rifle and CDEF Rifle.
-CDEF Carbine and DH17 Pistol.
-DL44 Pistol and Power5 Pistol.
-E11 Carbine and E11 Rifle.
I'm happy about the new upcoming weapons announced for the CU but I do think that these old weapons listed above deserve a looking at by the art department. Even if just for some palette changes, it will widen the diversity of weapons in game and prevent cheaters in a player event CDEF war game.

No one, not even our weaponsmith rep has made note of this? Is it not an issue? Maybe I should bring this to the Core Systems thread or something else?
