Thread: Where is the outrage? These new rewards are nerfing Weaponsmith!!

First of all the resource dupe tickets:
Supposedly people can actually dupe resources that are old!!! ...
this kills:
1 the value of any good collection of resources
2 the value of any resources that are not "the best ever"
3 the rarity of anything
It's bad enough that people can dupe current spawning resources (these tickets should NEVER have been in the game) but the fact they can dupe resources (if true) that arent currently spawning ... that is just realll really bad mmm kay?)
Next for you weaponsmiths:
Antidecay kit can be applied to guns ... Say it ain't so Joe????? (this will not and can not stand if it is true ... no way this stays like this)
So some guy with his 2000 damage T21 can AFK camp lord Nyax all night year with a powerup on ... booo hoooo ... but more importantly the average Joe will be anti-decaying his Krayat wepon and never coming to your store again. How does it feel? i would think it sucks!!!!

I am a ranger myself and am totally ^%^&* off!!! But you guys are getting shafted even worse!

How so? It actually fills in the gap for new WS who played a longtime in other professions. Or WS that haev been on 6 months and missed the really great spawn of (your resources here). It doesn devalue anything...Resources are still finite. you will still burn them up, and they will still be gone! And besides which one WS can spend 1 mil on the 30k deed over and over to make his collection super?!? although any tarqs ppl wanna donate 10 mil see my other thread...
Secondly it doesnt take away from other good stacks of resources. Again because resources are finite and 30k, while it can go a long way, doenst go that long... Perhaps as a ranger it creates current purchse problems with your organic sales, but dont try to gather support here...
The majority of WS issues are the gap between novice and WS anyway and this helps that gap...

1. Not terribly worried about the resource thing. Poorly thought out yes but not terribly worried.
2. The anti decay kit is ticking me off to no end the ws/smuggler in me sees the problems it engenders, and I am not happy with it. The problem is there is absolutely nothing the weaponsmith community can do about it. We are just not as tight as we need to be if we were we could jack all our prices up in protest or something.

I havea 100% combat based character, with 1 antidecay kit. Now my weapon selection is the following:
1. Acklay powerhammer
2. Scythe
3. LVA
4. Looted LVA w/ mind dot, damage is 250 or so
5. NS lance with 450 damage, 260 mind dot
6. Vibrolance, 400 damage after a nice slice
7. Looted vibrolance, 350 damage, 190 health dot
8. prenerf republic blaster with no cert
Now I have all these weapons which I use daily for pve and pvp, but not one of them is the best for all situations which is the reason I carry all of them. One of these will get protected, and you as weaponsmiths will not get a repeat purchase from me on that item, but all the others will continue to be used and will decay, and I will buy replacements for them as needed.

Well congrats for you. You use a vast array of weapons... but what's the benefit of toting around 8 weapons? True you can use tons in different areas, but consider if you had just one insanely good acklay ph... you throw your kit into it, and you never have to worry about it decaying ever again. Why use the other weapons when you're better off using your awesome PH with no worry of having to replace it?

You switch weapons! Woah! That's hard to do! >_> Heck, pull out a 2h sword for all it matters. You dont need a ADK for ALL of your weapons... just the best one or the one you use the most (likely your best one).

The problem is that it's more than one dude... it's most of them.

Nah, not even close. At least half the people in the market for enhanced weapons will sell their decay kit, plus another chunk won't even have the time banked to get the kit, and then there's the people who pick the statues instead of the decay kit. Sure you may losea fewof your best customers, but there will be new customers to replace them.

Now why would someone who's buying enhanced weapons sell their decay kit? Why not just throw it in their grinding weapon, use it until they can get a good enhanced weapon, get it, and transfer it into the enhanced weapon. Why throw away your kit when you dont need to? It seems to me the people who are selling their kits are the newbies, or the people who only have a few K to their name. An instant 10-30m is pretty good for those people. As for those who choose the statues.. I doubt there is more than a few of them. Consider the 3m or so you can get for the year statues, vs the 10-30m for the ADK. The answer is clear. I may lose a few of my best customers? It's bad enough I have to compete with labels, looted weapons overpowering anything I can possibly make, and people who wont buy from me because I'm not 12 point. How will there be new customers? The ADK *REMOVES* people from the pool of potential customers.
The bottom line is: Non-enhanced weapons will not sell as well, if at all, and the value of enhanced weapondry will plummet.
