Your best bet is either to pick up smuggler yourself, or havea good friend do your slicing for you. Otherwise, they might try and screw you out of cash (not a good thing). Personally, I make it easy on myself and I dont get most of my weapons sliced, only enhanced VKs really (unsliced is worth a fraction of a good damage sliced version). Some people have deals that the smuggler gets a cut, others just take a few of the better sliced weapons... your best bet would be to find a smuggler that has a fixed rate (5k per weapon, etc). Then it doesnt matter how it comes out, you dont have to worry about the smuggler trying to take advantage of you.

I've only been a MWS for a little while, but I found the best thing to do was simply to find someone who's willing to take a flat rate for each slice. 4 or 5k per slice. I dealt with another guy before, who had some kind of fishy amount of credits per % increased thing going on... ended up costing me a lot, and I never got any of the slices I wanted.

So I say just find a good, reputable Smuggler who slices for a fixed rate. If you bring him bulk loads, maybe he'll even cut you a special deal.

When I first started on my slicing tree I hooked up with a novice Weaponsmith. We actually worked together quite well. As he made new weapons I would slice them and gain xp, my only charge was the xp. Now the trick with this of course was that my slices would vary greatly as I moved up my slicing tree however he would simply price the weapons depending on the slice increase. If you do this remember that your novice smuggler is trying to advance just like you are, and not to get down on him for low slices, there is no such thing as a bad slice, except maybe on a DE-10, or Scythe...lol. Anyways if you try this just make sure that the Smuggler is using Molecular Clamps and is using WUKs that you have approved. Hope this helps.

Being new to the WS profession, I was wondering what sort of deals other WSs have with Smugglers for slicing. I'm sure free weapons is in the deal, as well as cuts of the sales. Just looking for examples.

Thanks in advance for the info!

Okay first things first you have to understand some aspects of sliceing. Why players buy sliced weapons. Players buy weapons presliced, because they prefer to choose their slice. A smuggler slices randomly. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Better to pay up front and save time and credits. Players generally know what a good slice is. Players will not buy slices for under 22percent. This is from experience. Plus speed slices are death on weapons for professions with speed caps. There is just no reason for a master riflemen to buy a speed sliced rifle. A novice maybe but not a master. So off the bat you need to expect to throw away a third of your products. When I say throw away I mean throw away. Nobody but the dumbest noob is going to buy a 14percent damage sliced scatter pistol.

My advice is to master smuggler yourself. Weapon sales are gamble enough without paying half a mil to get your weapons presliced. What happens if something dosent sell? No reason a weaponsmith should start in debt for each gun he or she puts on a vendor. Far easier to get master smuggler for yourself. You will still get paid for your guns and you will get payed for your sliceing. In the galaxy search market thats comeing every red cent needs to be cut to be competitive.

If your just determined to use a smuggler. I would angle at a 3k price. Remember your offering a bulk slice. You provide the wuks smugglers expect that. It helps them keep their price low. So for 20 minutes work and one hundred weapons they still get 300k. Any smuggler that is not comeing down for bulk is just looking to rob you. When its 1 weapon 7k makes sense. When its 100 the price can come down.
