Hi guys, just came back to swg and decided I wanted to do a crafting profession.
I bought some steel and the past two weeks I've grinded my finger off. I finally
hit Master WS yesterday afternoon. I decided to tinker and make some
FWG5 pistols and sell them on the bazaar. Wow, it was so great to get an email
telling me someone had bought my gun. This is so fun.
Fun yes, but with all the different schematics, resources, competition...it's a bit
overwhelming. There's so much I don't know. So I'd like to use this opportunity
to ask a few questions? I'm on the eclipse server btw
Are there capped stats for certain resources? For instance, I was looking for iron
with a high Con and OQ. I searched a lot of vendors, but most of the good iron I
found had relatively high OQ(800-900), but mediocre Con(400s).
Is there a site or place that I can find a history of resources on my server? I'd
like to know what the best resources have been in the past and how recently
they've spawned. Oh btw, do old resources respawn?
When resources shift on a planet, do all the resources shift at the same time?
Will one or tworesources shift and the others stay the same?
I only have a couple million credits. Would it be best to purchase a factory now and
mass produce, or should I just stick to making individual weapons until I have a
bigger bankroll? I can see it will get tedious making all those components.
What are avg costs for Warehouses? Average maintenance? Can I use more
than one schematic in one warehouse?
Okay, that's all I have for now. I'm sorry if the questions have been answered a 1000
times but I have honestly done some searching and couldn't find the exact answers
I needed.
Thx

Thats the way Iron is.

When a given resources shifts then it shifts on all planets that it's on, but that doesn't mean that other resources will shift with it.

Several schematic require items from a factory crate (i.e. the same serial number) so you need a factory.
What are avg costs for Warehouses? Average maintenance? Can I use more
than one schematic in one warehouse?
Get a small house and use that for storage, i've never heard about a warehouse schematic

Thx for the quick answers Frolykk.
I'm sorry,on the question I had warehouse in...replace warehouse
with Factory. I meant what are the avg running costs for a factory and if I can
use more than one schematic at the same time in one factory.

This list is kind of old, however it will explain some of the gated resources for you. I believe you can also find this information on www.swgcraft.com as well for more updated info. Resources are server specific, so there may be some differences where you are at. But this might get you started.

Sweeet! Sventek thx a lot. That's exactly what I needed. Now I feel a little more comfortable with the iron I'm using.
Okay, time to hit PrtScrn.

I'm not trying to be rude here, but THE BEST thing you can do, is switch SWG off for a couple of hours. Boot up the internet and read through the numerous FAQ's & guides on here. You could also trawl through the various posts on here.
As well as supplying most of the answers you will need, it will make interesting reading and will become a great reference guide for you. I suggest reading the whole lot of the FAQ's, even if they don't make any sense to you. Then when your doing your crafting and someone says "I wanna Krayt T21,how manytissues" or "What mods does a featherweight FWG5 have" or even if you come across something that you don't understand, a little bell will ring in your head. That bell will signify that you've read something about this somewhere. So you come back to forums and think "Oh yes, THAT'S what it meant", and carry on happily with your crafting.

TJ..I'm not trying to be rude here, but I HAVE BEEN reading and reading and reading. A lot of myquestions did get answered but some I couldn't get exactly the info
I needed...such as what Sventek answered. Of course, after digging and learning more on SWGCraft I did find a more complete list on the forums.I've donelottsa
searches..but sometimes it gets painful. First I put the search in, wait a couple mins for it to pop up...scroll and scroll and scroll just to find posts that don't exactly
cover what I need..try to do a new search but then I have to wait 5 mins..cause I just did a search..and on and on.
I just wanted to post my accomplishment and build a little repoir in the forum, throw out a couple things that I was still unsure about, and go from there. Again, I apologize
for the questions that have been answered a 1000 times.

What's the stuff that you couldn't find? We can always make another FAQ no problem!!
In fact, that goes to anyone who has trawled through the guides and haven't found what they we're looking for. What guides do you wan't to see?
Some of the guides we have up there are a little dated now and either need rewriting or editing.
