it's supposed to stack with skilltapes so you can get up to +41, but it was bugged for a while and i don't know if they fixed it yet.

My question is what will this do to MWS that's not a Jedi?
Let's see, you have a Blade schem, you can take it to me, or to the Jedi, hmmmmm. Oh right, I LIKE the risk of having a fail, so I'll just keep going to my MWS,
I seems to me that just a few MWS / Jedi could pretty much rule the custom builds world in no time, or am I missing something? (I'd love to have someone point out that I am not seeing something here, other then that such a MWS would be to busy to cover the whole Galaxy. <smile>. )
Another question in this same vein, is it just my impression or is MWS the "D2 Barb of SWG"? What I mean is that it seems like every other publish there is more pressure put on MWS, making it harder and harder to play one. Who else is this dependent on loot schems, loot parts, resources, tapes, food? What's next needing to be buffed to craft?
I've now seen times when the asking price for the schem and it's parts was greater then what those same combat types were then willing to pay for the weapon result, UNLESS you hit a 30+% damage slice. That's just plain nuts, but it seems to be happening more and more. Again I'd love to have someone cheer me up about this by showing me "the big picture".

Already there :-). I never do any crafting using enhancements like krayt tissues without using buffs.
I am confused with the new FS crafting skills. I have read somewhere that the fs experimentation is increasing experimental success just like research center/Bospin but not 100% sure. Als there is both assembly and "crafting technique"
I would really want devs to explain how assembly, +experimental success, crafting technique works. Especially the crafting technique. That sounds just like assembly to me.

Just wondering if it was possible for those of us who haven't unlocked yet to do the force sensitivity quests so that we can get the extra +20 experimentation and assembly. Or do we have to wait 6-8 weeks for the Jedi Trials publish to come out?

My alt is a master artistan/weaponsmith/armorsmith so I lurk around the boards alot. I found this post over on the armorsmith boards: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=armorsmith&message.id=54742
Basicly if your a 12 point smith your not going to become a 14 point smith like we all was wondering about. If your a 10 point smith you will be a 12 point one w/ the FS line. Where the FS crafting mastery stuff does come in to play is the combines/expirmentations. The chance of "amazing" is higher. As the player posted he had 3 and 4 amazing results and the rest great results. As another posted stated that is like a 13 point crafter to a point. How many times do you try and try and try to get just 2 amazing results on a schematic or special order.
Now if the new reports of normal 10 and 12 point smiths getting more fails and such are true and not just a temporary fluke. Then the FS smiths will quickly start to dominate the market in custome orders and high end products.
To answer the earlier quest - we will have to wait till publish 10 if you had not unlocked by publish 9 to do the FS quest. Or you can keep grinding and unlock before publish 10....you'll just not get to start your jedi.

You have to wait, there will be no new Jedi untill Publish 10. You can unlock now but you won't get the slot until 10 is actually out.
I "only" got to 18 Profs so I know how you feel.

This looks like the right take on it, but I think the implications go further then that.
Today I made up some Power Handlers, using a new and better Phrik, guess what? My BEST result ended up 1 point LOWER then the1,000 I made up on 2 weeks ago. Hmmm, better resource = poorer result? Add to that the obvious increase in fails, and I have to wonder. Did the Dev's partly add the last, failed, change, back in to offset the huge advantage a Jedi will have?
Also, already today. I was supposed to do some pretty serious custom work, and, yep, you guessed it, the guy backed out so he can go looking for a, "uber l33t Jedi" to do the work. So, that's one sale, I don't care much for l33t speak any way, but where does this end? (Other then me closing up shop and running missions for 3 - 5 mill a day instead of putting up with all this crap.)
Oh, and I know about buffing to do custom work, but I can't find any documentation, saying that it actually works. Any one know where I can find it? I did a board search but I didn't see any links to anything official stating that it works and how.

Our WS toon has the best resourcesthat existed since launch for making all ranged weapons and we can probably be a good Jedi WS on our Server.
There areproblemsthough:
- BH terminal is working again. Some weirdos BHcould be griefing while changing schematics, harvests or AFK and then you can lose 200k to 1mil xp just because some BH was bored.
- If you havepsycho competitors or a psycho BHwho istrying to help your competitors or guild they can grief you and camp your factory.
- The +20 experimentation from the force only increases the Amazing chances. You are not getting +20 as you do with tapes anymore. They changed it because non-jediWS were complaining.
- The salesstay the same. Amazing don't increase your sales. Our Weapons with Great Success sell as fast.
- 99.9% of the buyers don't know if your weapons had hit Amazing. Only thesuper freak old timer weaponsmiths will notice such very tiny little detail

- Jedi with WSor any Artisan profs will become defenseless. It will be difficult for a Jedi WS to PVE and grind xp without a true hybrid combat.
- If you are thinking about cancelling your second account to make your jedi a WS, there will be a nerfto the LOT pool soon. Instead of 10 lots per character the SOEComputerGuyswant to change it to X lot per account. You will be sharing the lot with your Jedi.
- You can get Amazing with Bespin and City research already.
- The SOEComputer Guysdid not release any official informations yet. Every Jedi have selected their force skills from their interpretation of the vague descriptions they read so far.

The good things being a Jedi WS is that you will be able to make Lightstick. If your Jedi WS is a wookie you will finaly have every weapons datadrafts.
You will also have more content.Grinding lair could become boring. Crafting is sometime more fun. Crafting isfor the AFK type. If you are an AFKtype you might want to become Jedi WS.
If you don't like Jedi WS, you can always surrender WS and get something else.
Give it a try and let us all know.
