Aye I have read the faq but what i am looking for is more specific info than what is there. I am aware of what each skill does and you can make etc. What im looking for is somethin along the lines of....

Best tree to begin on is the techniques tree. As you do this make ??? item as it uses the least reasources, less clicks, best xp etc...

Thanx in advance

"3.2 What is the fastest way to become a Master?

3.2.1 The Projectile Pistol/Rifle Barrel - Grind, Grind, Grind.

First you need to grind (ie just make a bunch with no hope of using them) blaster pistol barrels until you get
enough XP to get firearms 1. Then, from there, grind projectile rifle barrels. These are going to take a lot of steel.
Expect to use roughly 450k of steel! So start stockpiling. If you can harvest enough steel, and you've progressed
far enough up the firearms crafting tree, you can get almost 2 xp per unit of resource off these two items.
Only two double-clicks to build!"

You mean something like this

Take your foot out of your mouth. I don't see why he had to be an lamer and send you to the faq in the first place when he coulda just stated what you were asking for. I mean I'm not saying to spoon feed anyone but why bother posting if your just gonna be like that.

Personally I liked doing sword cores... its little by little but they use any metal and its only one double click... so I can do it without even paying attention.

Well because its there, and its just as easy for the original poster to go read the FAQ as it is for any of us to go look through it and extract the info he is asking for to paste it here.

It has been so long since I did the WS grind there is no way i can remember how I did it.

Myself I liked grinding the heavy warhead. You get over 700xp per. The problem with it is that it uses more than a few resources and you have to be by a crafting station, but it will help you finish weaponsmith sooner.

I also did the Projectile Rifle Barrel. I worked the 4th column first thinking it would help me sell product along the way. Notice the word - thinking. Then, since I really have no interst in munitions and melee weapons I worked the firearm column. I figured that I should be able to make some decent weapons and earn some cash without doing the melee and munition columns just yet - wrong. Yet, I was able to sell Scout Blasters on the bazaar and make some cash (I still place my obsolete weapons for sale in the bazaar - its good advertising and I have made a lot of friends who come back when they need new weapons).

The reality of the situation, at least in my case, was that I did not make any decent weapons until I was a MWS and got my first added experimentation point. With 11 points you start maxing out damage and can use extra ones on HAM or what not.

Oh, there is a real kicker waiting for you - getting those 2 extra points . The first 0.5 are easy - bandolier and two +1 skill tapes ( i would be careful buying them too. I paid 300k for the bandolier only to find auctions later where they have sold for 50k or 100k. Paying 1MM for a +1 tape is dumb. I have seen them for as low as 100k but 300k seems somewhat easier to find on my server). Some may say it is a waste of time but until you get MWS that extra 0.5 is important. There other 1.5 is proving to be quite the expensive proposition. Now, if you could wear 16 pieces of clothing it would not be so hard. So, I figure no biggie, I will run out and buy 3 +5s. Hehe. Right! I have found one +6 and it sold for 7.8MM credits! So, now I have 11. I can make some real good weapons but need to pay special attention to buying only the best ingrediants. Also, I live in a Research Metro city so that helps with the amazings. The 43 crafting station and the 15 tool is an absolute given in my opinion. I am still not sure if the droid is helping me any but it was a gift from a friend so I use it. OK, so I am down to needing +9 in skill tapes. I understand what all the WS are talking about now. The quote "it will take you 6 months to become a good WS" has always bothered me. It may actually take that long to be able to find 3 more +3 skill tapes. It may take that long to build a sufficient store of materials.

My advise - start looking for those skill tapes now. If you do not have the funds to procure them, then, either join a PA so they can help you find them or concentrate on making superior noob weapons and selling them on the bazaar till you establish yourself. Before you start thinking of dumping your MA make sure you build stock of all the items you may need (i.e., speeders and control units). Materials above all else. Ostrine Carbonate Ore was in rare supply when I was ready to start making good weapons. It was going for 100 cpu. Fortunately a new spawn hit a few days back. Have funds ready to bit on auctions. There are a couple really good resource lists available - go find them. Before you run out and start buying bile, acklay and geo cubes - make sure you know which ones are best for which items. I have wasted a lot of time and credits learning this. A lot of time information on these boards is confusing. One had good results with this when another did not. That is part of the joy of being a WS. You will need a stock of 200k of each strategic resource (this is my own rule - dont know what others use). I wait for new spawns and go dump 8 heavies on it till I get what i need. Get to know a few good, and I mean really good, Resource Brokers. The ones I work with know how I do my thing so when a certain resource runs low they are now coming to me - hehe. Have alternate materials available - if I do not have a safety stock and I come across a comparable resource I buy it. Be prepared to spend lots of time running from store to store. This is good in a way cause you find out who really is serious, who does not play much and, most importantly - what the competition is doing! Fortunately for me one of the MWS in my PA left a huge supply of items stocked on his vendor. I can run and check the stats to know if my stuff is any good. I also get an idea of what the pricing should be.

Last but not least (and I am sorry for writing so much but I am bored and kinda blowin off steam) - after you are over the fact that you are a MWS DONT run around with the title showing. My God it is amazing how many tells you will get. For example, today I was going hunting with friends so I forgot to change my title before we left ourcity. After getting buffed I had some time and we needed some StimPaks - so I ran to the bazaar to get some. Three different people were hounding me - "Can you repair my weapon for me?" "Do you have a repair kit?" "No, your the Weaponsmith you should carry then around with you. What are you an idiot WS?" "Ignore". (I always carry one with me but it is for MY weapons. I also carry Slicers tools - youll figure that one out on your own). "How much do you charge for GEO this or that?" "Well that depends upon the materials used?" "I see, well how much do you charge?" "What exactly are you looking for?" "GEO prices you moron" "Ignore". And my personal favorite "Can you make this or that?" "Aye, I am a MWS I can make it" "Good. Can you make me some grenades?" "I only make firearms" "Why?" "Cause I am relatively new at this and I cant afford to buy stocks of all the materials so I can make everyone everything they ask for. If you send me an email I will look into it and get back to you" "Pffft I will find someone else to make it" You guessed it "Ignore".

In all I am enjoying the fun and frustration of being a MWS. Nothing succors more than pushing that button and getting the "moderate" message. Nothing is more challenging then trying to figure out how to get that last 0.1 of speed. The absolute joy comes when you hand one of your friends that DXR6b that is sliced just so and made just so cause you know he is real **edit** about his weapons and he looks at you and says "My God that is wonderful weapon!"
