Right, here goes. This is all taken from Lunariel's research over at SWGCraft.com, of course, as I keep saying.

Hopefully (if the forums let me!) what should follow now is an exhaustive record of all the currently know resource stat caps on every mineral class available in-game. There shouldn't be any typos in the actual figures (all copied & pasted etc), so if you have queries about the validity of these numbers, I'd suggest popping over to the SWGCraft.com forums and raising the issue there.

This post will be a series of posts, as there's an awful lot of data to relate! Please don't reply on this thread until everything's up, or you'll mess up my beautiful work!!

Note: If the columns seem messed up to you, this is because of your browser - Internet Explorer 5.5 or earlier doesn't format posts properly in these forums, and IE6 has some minor problems with monospaced fonts. Easiest thing to do would be to copy over to a word processor and put it all in Courier New or some other monospaced font - the columns should all line up then.

Minerals are not the only class of resources to have stat caps... but they're the ones we're most interested in! Some (but not all) chemicals and gases also have caps, but only on the DR stats. There are quite a few caps in the organics, too - but not really necessary to post them on the Weaponsmith forum!

Some other points about these...

• If a resource has a stat in-game and there's no cap listed for it in these tables, then that stat has no cap - can be from 1 to 1000.


• This is always the case of Overall Quality - OQ always ranges from 1 to 1000


• When comparing two resources, it's the value of a given stat that is important, not its place in the table. A Class 6 Radioactive with a PE of 950 is always better than a Class 7 Radioactive with a PE of 907.

Yeah, actually I've been working on an HTML version of this. Unfortunately, it's taking a while as Microsoft products (all of this exists only as Word docs at the mo) produce the most horrendously bloated code and I'm trying to get file size down. Metals table is 320-odd k when you get MS Word to convert it, and only 14k when you strip out all the MS-associated rubbish. Wish there was an easier way to do it... but it's coming.

If you're seeing all the columns messed up in this thread, it's the fault of your browser (and the way that Lithium works... or doesn't... with Internet Explorer). In the meantime, if you copy the tables in this thread into any word processor and change the font to Courier New or another monospaced font, the columns should all sort themselves out.

SWGCraft never got rebuilt properly since the server got pulled in december. Many resource spawns around there were lost.

This data isn't pulled from resource data - one of the SWGCraft.com members has actually calculated the formulae that are used to calculate the various caps at each 'level' of each class of resource, and has also figured out where those caps have been artificially pegged by the devs instead of being calculated by those formulae.

If you want the details of this, check out Lunariel's original thread on their forums where all this info is set out.

In addition, Trokk (the owner of SWGCraft.com) has posted on his site recently that rumours that he lost a bunch of data are inaccurate, data is backed up daily.

That info on SWGCraft may be accurate now, but unless he got a backup of his site just before the server was pulled/erased back in nov/dec he lost data. After the site was back up I was checking many of my old resources and many of them were not found, especially some high shock Goseu and Ovaine Corellian Deciduous wood that spawned on Chilastra.
