It's a hard call, but remember what they have already said. If you have one of the best weapons on the server now, it will still be one of the best weapons afterwards. That doesn't mean it will retain the same stats, just that it will be relatively as highly powered as it is now. So if you have a 200 max damage scout blaster now it may still be one of the best on the server, but it will probably be nerfed down to be more in line with post CU weapons. From what I have seen so far, lower level weapons will remain about the same while higher level weapons will get a boost. The real rebalance comes in the weapon and armor recertification.

I have read a lot of posts here, but one thing sticks out at me.

Post CU certain weapons will no longer be able to be made with Advanced components right? Think we all know that's coming.

What about pre CU weapons made with Advanced components, sure they will be converted...but. Will they be superior to post CU weapons without Advanced components? At this point I think it's all a guess - but I think it would be nice to know how the devs plan on doing this. SeaRaptor, and others, any guesses or insights into this?

While I don't plan on making much prior to theCU, a few crates of various guns with advanced components would be doable to stick in the bank
