PH is a master block weaopn with a higher DPS and scythe is only a finnese 4 weapon??

I just started playing again on bloodfin and PHs cost very little (100k range) while scythes cost either can't be found or the few you do see are 1mill+

I'm assuming you're a customer who just wandered in here, so let me give you the back story - before the CU Scythes:
- Were rare schematics, cause each character could only get 2
- Took a lot of loot we pay a fair amount for (1.5m-ish for the items to make 4 scythes was low)
- Were coveted and usable by Swordsman because of Kinetic Damage (PH was Blast), more Accurate than a PH, and looked cooler.

Now Scythes:
- Are still rare schems
- Still take a lot of loot than is now rarer
- Aren't as good as a powerhammer

Because they're lesser weapons than a PH, they should cost less, right? Not when it's a pain in the butt to get the parts, and the schem. That's why you don't see many scythes around being sold.

Well, first off, it's a limited use schematic (2 uses) that's obtained via a quest that ends with a Krayt Dragon. This quest can be repeated once, so each player can obtain no more than 4 uses and the quest is only given if you are at least a certain combat level, so a pure crafter can't even take the quest. Secondly, the schematic requires loots from the Geonosian cave, which since the CU, has become much more difficult. So those are the two main factors. WS's are charged an arm and a leg by the combatant looters and therefore the the WS's have to pass that cost along to the customers.

Power Hammers cost almost nothing to make compared to a scythe.

Scythes are not the only problem for Swordmen, another that I have noticed on the same server is the utter lack of ANY two-handed wepons being crafted that are above 2-handed curved swords (cert lvl 12). 90% of the time I look at a weponsmith vender for a sword all I find are ultra low lvl swords with the curved being the "highest" before the giant jump to Powerhammers.

The cheepest I've found a Vibro Axe (cert lvl20 I think) was 20k on the bazzar and when I came back from grinding three missions to afford it, sold. I check the bazzar 2-3 times a day looking for new wepons and the axe wasn't there earlier that day. Yeah I could have borrowed credits from someone to get it RIGHT then but I wanted to earn it (feels better that way) instead of asking a guildie for credits.

A seperate subject mid-lvl swords are so rare that EVERY time I have ever asked for help with getting one that they have in storage someplace I ALWAYS get a mid-lvl one-handed sword. I attribute this to the fact that since mid-lvl two-handers are hardly ever seen on venders, drops, etc that unless they were lucky enough to have a scythe they don't know what a mid-lvl 2-handed sword is.

I understand that Scythes are expensive and sooner or later the prices will drop as the usefulness of getting the parts aren't the highest priority for the geo-cave (then again the demand for Scythes might just keep it up lol) the part I don't understand is that there are no alternatives being given between lvl 12 and master. This is minorly execptable now as people can respec all the way up to Master Swordman using just that lvl 12 sword but once respec'ing is over I'd bet a Scythe that there will be more requests for mid-lvl grinding swords.

On a side issue, "Power Hammers are so easy to make". Why flood your vender with PH's? It's not something unique and nothing the devs do to the game other then "The Swordman uber Combat Upgrade Rebalence" can equate the supplie I've seen of PH's sitting on venders. Enough of my rants lol
