This is a common question here on the boards. Your best bet is to compare with other smiths to see how you compare to their stuff and price similar if you can meet similar stats. Keep in mind DPS isn't the end all best thing to base pricing off of. SAC is an important factor also. Right now I'm keeping an eye on the global vendor search and pricing accordingly.

Personally what I do is set a price per CPU on the resources basically in a range that will cover your expenses if your buying them from a miner (make sure to add a 5-10 cpu markup to ensure a good profit). Then I add in what it takes to make each item in a factory. And I have each item covered by cost right down to the individual parts.

So basically the formula for a ranged weapon looks like this:

(Resource price x no. of resources used + ABPH or BPHcost x no. used + Barrel x no. used + Scope x no. used + Stock x no. used) + (factory time x 0.83)

Factory time is determined by taking whats listed by the factory for each object, for example a DL44 XT may take 336 seconds per item then you take 336 divide by 60 equals 5.6 so the final part would be (5.6 x 0.83). I arrived at the 0.83 based on what it costs in credits to run a factory per minute, if you buy power from a miner you can adjust this to your needs. And the formula above is easily converted for melee weapons as well, based on sword or reinforcement cores and blade vibo units including the advanced and Geo Versions of those items as well. And I've set this up on an Excel Spreadsheet so it makes it very handy for me to use and have a standard pricing on my weapons.

But I've been using this formula for several months now, and it takes into account for times if I have to buy resources that I can't harvest on my own.

Ok I'm new to master WS, Igot masterabout 6 days b4 CU and have spent the time since scouring Flurry for resources. I picked it up as my guild WS didn't like what he saw on TC and decided to leave the game. So my ? is other than resource cost what else do u include in setting your prices for weapons??So far just making stuff for my guild and friends so asking for a little more than cost. Its not garbage but their not uber either DPS usually 270-295 on high end weapons without tissues. Any positive suggestions/feedback appriciated. Thanks.
