How many points in Weapon Experiment Skill Tapes do you need to get the extra 2 points in experimentation? What is the ration of weapon experiment skill to points?

You need 10 points in tapes to equal1 point of experimentation. So, if you want and extra 2 points worth of experimentation. You will need an amount of +20 in skill tapes. Also, +25 is the max in addition skill tapes you can apply to any current skill

How does a +10 Weaponsmith Skill Tape sell for then?

since people will crow for days about 1 point of extra damage yes one box matters.

What it will let you do is max out one stat (damage) and have an extra box for HAM costs making your weapons ever so slightly better than the competition (given equivalent resources).

So yes it does matter.

Also the tapes stack, so a +4 is worth something do since you can get a +6 or nother +4 and a +2 and get one more experimentation point. They stack.

2 extra points means: HAMs reduced by 1-5 (higher HAM weapons get more of a reduction), oraccuracy increased by 0-2, or durability increased by 100ish. None of these improvements is really significant and most customers won't ever notice them.

The only reason the tapes are so expensive is that old crafters have loads of money and nothing better to spend it on.

Gotta agree with Jennai, there really isn't much places to spend those millions of credits you have.

The funny thing is that the minor differences among most good masters means nothing on an individual gun.... because of the randomness of slicing. a 35% slice on a 1-pt-less-than-max-gun will obliterate any original advantage.

I find it funny that people will pay 10k more for a 1 pt difference and then have their level 4 slicer buddy do the slice.
