With the recent addition of item decay and reintroduction of insurance I think that it is only right that repairing of items should be fixed, I am a master artisan and make 99.9 effectiveness repair tools and I still have bad repairs, fixing armor with these tools with minor blemishes reduces max condition by approximately 5000!!!! And occasionally I get critical failures, with 99.9 this should not be possible at all, please post your opinion on this subject.

Are you trying to repair items that you are not qualified to make. For example...are you a Master Artisan trying to repair Composite Armor? If so...of course you will fail. But If you are a Master Armorer using that 99% tool trying to repair Mabari... you should almost always succeed. Keep an eye out for what level your repair tool is and the item you are trying to repair.

Also for weapons..make sure they remove any powerups prior to your fixing them. They tend to have a better success rate when repairing.

Master weaponsmith/armor/tailor takes much less of a hit on minor blemishes repairs and high-rated tools may reduce the number of bad results, but it's hard to get enough data to verify this.

MWS loses about 50 max durability on a minor blemishes repairs, non-WS loses 100 or more.

I'm a master weaponsmith / master artisan, and id say about 1 in 4 weapon repairs fail with a 99+% tool, It's rediculous. It's to the point where I want nothing to do with repairing people's weapons. I dont want them pissed off at me for a game bug.

I use my master weaponsmith/master armorsmith with 99.8 repair kits and he still fails every so often on Comp armor and scatter pistols. But his results are better than if I were to use my other characters to repair.
