Thread: Advanced Stock Crafting Oddities
2 different types of Corellion Hard Wood, Same type of Link Stell Aliuminum
Wood #1 SR=420
Wood #2 SR=688
Aluminum SR=825
The Results of Wood #1 + Aluminum = 38/37 Damage
The results of Wood #2 + ALuminum = 33/33 Damage
I tested this 15 times in a row with same results each time.
Now the stock is based 100% on SR, so why would a stock with a SR 260 points lower have an end result better weapon stock.
This is makes absolutly no sense to me. Is the Max/Min damage stat on the stock actually using a different stat on the material? Is this done on purpose or is it a bug?
Update:
I hit 40/40 for the stocks.
I had to experiment 6 then 4 to make it happen, took 10 tries.
10 tries after starting to do 6/4 experimenting. I was getting sparatic results like 40min 6 max then 39max 16min on the 10th try after the 6 I was 38/38, and I had 4 points left to hit 40/40 glad that I finally did it.
the difference is in the wound %, Ideal Range Mod, and HAM... 531 SR wood gives me the 40/40 with 9 wound, 8 ideal and 29/29/29 ham... 661 SR is 11 wound, 10 ideal, 28/28/28... what seems to work best for me is 6, 3 and 1 (if i keep at it long enough in a research center player city i will get amazings and perhaps have an extra point to spend on ham reduction)

Apparently you can reach 40/40 using any wood regardless of its SR because the stock experimentation is bugged. It may take 30+ tries, but if you keep at it long enough you'll get a 40/40.
