Thread: SOE, now that schems work, can we change launchers?
Rocket launchers are the most frustrating weapon to make. For a factory run of launchers, it takes 9 seperate factory runs. I have a suggestion, which is probably fairly obious to every smith who tried making these things: Remove proton grenades as a necessary component.
Instead, replace it with medium warhead devices. Or perhaps heavy warheads(at least they would have a use then). Then perhaps make the stats on the warheads affect the final stats on the launchers. As it is, the stats on the proton grenades do not affect the stats on the launcher at all. Since I can use the crappiest protons and still get the same results, why include them at all? It is the only weapon that requires another weapon as a component. I mean, I don't need to weld 10 daggers together to make a curved sword.
I know there are other schems that should probably be changed too, but I think this one needs it the most.
LoL too funny...this does make a lot of sense to me and would these much easier to make and more affordable to use as a commando. I am about the only smith on my server that makes these consitently and my best money maker but I really hate making them...would be nice to save a couple days of factory runs to be able to make larger runs of these at a reduced cost. Right now I sell mine for 60k each and cant keep them in stock with the time it takes to make them.
