Thread: Most common resources?
So anyway, is anything common enough that I could pass on it for now in favor of more Phrik, Titanium or Alantium without worrying about not seeing it again for 3 months?
Stuff comes and goes, sometimes there's five good materials in at once and sometimes you go a month with only crap materials shifting in.
The system's so random that you never know when the next spawn is. You might get two duralloys every week for a month, or you might go two months without seeing any at all.
Chromium/titanium alum and crism ore are only used for a few not-very-popular weapons so you don't really need all that much, and if you don't want to make T21s you can ignore alantium and ditanium.
Well for oneI would pick a specialty and focus on getting the best of the best for that field! and then branch out. that is not to say ignore things like alantium entirely they just don't need to be the majority of your stock etc!

Ditanium steel is used quite a bit in melee as well so it can be a useful general (ie you have a larger stock of it to hand for the really good stuff). Actually melee is a pretty easy one to do as there are Fewer specific types required to make these weapons and they usually only rely on SR or UT so the stats are easy to track too.
what you can do is harvest what you'll need in large quantity (phrik alum for ABPH, rhodium steel for ABRB,...) and buy a small stack (20-50k) of other resources you wont need as much like alantium ore and chromium alum (note that if chromium alum is 900+ OQ you can also use it for adv scopes and you'll need a lot of it, otherwise it's only used in SG82 rifle and 10-20k would be more than enough for a new WS)
and unless you really want to make munitions just leave their resources for now (crism ore, thoranium steel)
