I just noticed that my republic blaster that didn't have a cert back before they made it a pistoleer only weapon, Not it is master pistoleer weapon, says right on it. but I can still use it by my ALT with no combat skills at all, hits for around 450 a shot using the base attack, and grouped with me, she is level 80 and can actually join me in combat, before using the same weapon, it still did good damage but she would miss constantly.

Well, I guess that cat had to find it's way out of the bag sooner or later...

I too have a very, very old Republic that claims to be a Master Pistoleer can be used by anyone. I'm droping a ADK on it so that my crafter can have a little nasty trick up his sleeve next time I do a harvester run...

If memory serves me right, Nym's Slugthrower was noncertified originaly. Those should behave the same way.

i have no melee skills but theres a weapon theres no cert for - with no specials off course but can do 500dmg with the stick
