I'm very close to reaching Novice Weaponsmith. YAY I get to make stuff that doesn't sell woohoo. LOL. Anyways, I see a lot of legitimate posts about weapon prices being too low. I myself am a Carbineer Specialist as well, I can agree that some combat classes go through certs like they are nothing. I remember blowing my entire savings to get a Laser Carbine.

How do you veteran Weaponsmiths base your pricing on products?

I know a buddy of mine (architect) looks at the current economy and tries to provide some competition without seriously undercutting the market. However, most deeds for buildings usually run from 2-5cr per resource. Those that harvest masses amounts of resources will sell those resources for about 5cr per resource. Weaponsmiths on the other hand charge much much more. My Laser Carbine for example, has a damage of 20-203 and a speed of 4.6. One of the best on the market at the time. I spent 13k for it. Now if we go by resource, that is 47cr per resource. I felt I got an awesome deal on that Laser Carbine. Just curious how I should base my pricing in the future. If I went with the architect and mining formula I would seriously undercut the market. That is not my intention. I would like to know a good system of providing fair prices that won't put the Weaponsmith community in an uproar.

Thanks for the advice,

I originally based my weapon prices on how hard it would be for someone to raise the cash to buy x weapon. I want someone to spend at least an hour doing easy missions to pay for my master level scout blaster. So how much money can a fighter make in 1-2 hours? thats how I started to base my prices. Right now I just base my prices on 2 things, what tier is it in (in weaponsmithing) and do I need to use resources that no longer exist. Considering that a riflemen will have done a lot of missions to get the xp to reach riflemen, they should have a lot of cash, and should be able to handle a high price for a t21 rifle.

I set prices based on what the first master weaponsmith was charging, and also by how much of a pain in the ass each gun is to make. Laser rifles cost more than DLT20s even when the DLT20s had better stats, cos the lasers were so much more annoying to make.

Hello Everyone,

I am a fairly new weaponsmith on the kettemoor server and i have no idea what to charge for my weapons. I use only the best resources and wear a ws toolbelt when crafting. I have been told that i make some great weapons but i think i am charging to low of prices on weps. I was wondering if anyone could post the prices for their weapons so i can make my prices at least competitive.

Visit another weaponsmith that has comparable stats on weapons and do a price check.. Or just raise prices and see if you start to sell out slower. Either way the only way to find out is to give it a try. If you are selling out faster than you can keep your vendor stocked, you probably can charge a bit more.

Also, by itself the WS toolbelt does almost nothing for you.
