Thread: CU problems with WS crafting

thought we might as well get a list going since we don't have a WS correspondant at the moment. One current issue that really pains me is the crafting error where by the computer is recognizing the correct resource lvl for a component. I went to make some advanced projectile feed mechanisms and use the quadrainium steel I had checked out the UT and such said it had 800+ and the axidite iron had 3 to 400+ and it treated them as having 100 and 200 plus stats all red lining and actually causing the component to come out crappy when I have used this stuff before and turned out much better stuff. Another problem plaguing us is we just need to be steared in a general direction where we can obtain the new schematics or understand what we need to do to obtain them. Anything else?

Lack of schematics info and the faulty resource levels during the crafting process are the big ones, as you mentioned.


I've also noticed that I am unable to create a schematic for one of the new polearms. I think it's the Electric Lance or something like that.

The resource quality problem is debatable. From the AS forum, it looks like this was an intentional change. However, the quality bars do not match well with the stat calculation in the lower right hand corner of the crafting window during the assembly stage. This information should be kept consistent, so the devs need to do something about this.

We do need more information about the non-craftable weapons.

Some fix needs to be put into place where players can determine *ingame* what weapons they are certified to use.

We need some stability for weapon certification. During the week, the certs were being tweaked. It isn't helpful when one day you aren't certed for a weapon and the next day you are. Or vice versa.

A fix to the stackable loot problem; i.e. where a loot stack is mistakenly treated as one item in a factory.

That's just off the top of my head.

OkI just read that thread that was posted in the last reply. It still doesn't make sense with my example. Here it is. I was crafting Advanced Sword cores. This uses only dolovite iron and only one stat comes into play, which is UT. Lets say for this example the cap on UT of dolovite iron is 1000 (which I don't think it is that high) and the stuff I was using was 781. That would make my resource around 78% and still in the green, but when I crafted these cores using this resources, the bar was in the lower red, if I had to guess probably around the 25% area. But if I looked at the lower right hand side of the crafting screen, the resource listed in the schematic was 781 and in the green. So I feel there is a bug between the actual stats and the stats used for the crafting process. This is just the easiest example to spell out here in the forums. This has happened on quite a few other crafting processes. What I want to know is if there is a cap that, regardless of your resource, you can't go over or if this is a bug that needs to be corrected.

I have noticed that when creating anything with Plumbum Iron i am getting much better stats from my Iron than i should be.


I used to get it mid yellow, now i'm getting with the same resource, high green.



I also do not want to be wasting any of my high profile resources on weapons that aren't taking their stats into account That would suck.


Still, people seem happy when they get a Republic blaster for 12k which outstrips their 10million DE-10 by 100 damage.

I do agree that we are having problems with finding info for the new schematics I sent in a CSR response asking about that and the reply message said it would be spoiler information and to keep my eyes on the forums and posts so something is telling me we have some of these new schematics and others arn't given to us for a reason. I found out however on TC that the fallan hyper rifle/exploding shell sniper rifle and the proton rifle and I bet the proton carbine are going to be ROTW schematics because within the description it talked about rodinian hunters and such either that or rodinian WS will be the only people that are able to create it.

I think alot will be released with RotW and imho some will be looted schematics from the new planet.

yeah whats going on with the resources.. my best phrik alluminium and diatium copper are now worthless when making things..

ya I would have to look at the description fully but it said something along the lines of used by rodinian hunters and such to hunt big game on Kashyyyk (SP?). Seems to me the proton carbine, probably the bothan bola carbine, proton rifle, and the exploding shell sniper rifle aka the fallan hyper rifle will probably be ROTW stuff but hopefully they will be theme park stuff that can be given to the local WS for use. The issue we really need to press for though is some help to understand why our best resources are being rejected by the computer and weird resources that are below our best stuff is higher.

Dolovite Iron has UT in the range of 753 (=0%) to 873 (=100%). Your Dolovite UT 781equal 23.3%, so is pretty crappy, that is why the line is red. They just have forgotten to update the lower right corner of the crafting screen.... like so many other things with the CU....

We also need to push for more standardization of weaponry certifications. Some are kewl and I like being able to dual wield either this weapon or that weapon but some weaponry should fall under certain branchs. I'm seeing conflicting interest where the proton rifle on TC has changed hands several times saying its lvl 50 use plainly then novice commando then master commando. The T21 i'm grateful was move to master rifleman and all making it so not everyone and his brother can use it. I'm curious to see what you guys think would be a good standardization? Should some weapons be dual profession giving 1 weapon to 2 professions so they don't have to take up another profession leaving them open or should they stay 1 sided?
