Are there any weapons that do elemental damage aside from lightsaber?

Yes.... don't know them all off the top of my head but there is a selection of Melee and Ranged weapons that do.

Is there a specific way to add elemental damage or does it come as standard with these weapons?

I think elemental damage is broken atm.Should be fixed in next publish

Yeah, doesnt seem to actually work right now, but several weapons have a standard elemental damage type. It can be experimented on when the weapon is constructed, but doesnt tend to yield much more damage per experiment point. However, the idea is that you would find creatures in the world that will take more damage from a lower end element weapon over a high end energy/kinetic weapon that they have high resists to. For instance, night sisters with resistance to kinetic and energy, but vulnerability to cold or acid, would take more damage from a lower end weapon with added element damage because all the damage can go through.


Dont quote me, but here is a list of weapons I believe have element damage:


Flamethrower, Acid launcher, Lightning cannon, Lightning rifle, Acid rifle, particle beam cannon, cryo lance, spray stick, jawa ion rifle, laser carbine, republic blaster. There are more, and a couple here Im not completely sure on.


Damage varies. Most are lower end, 10-50 damage points, except for the commando weaponry, many of those get to be 100+. Pre-nerf commando weapons seem to have unreachable element damage, great regular damage and speed, and if you experimented on condition like I did, you have one hellova gun assuming they plan to actually fix the element damage.

To add to the list, Proton carbine has90 Cold damage, andNym's slugthrower carbine(stats vary) up to 174 Acid damage. Both are quest rewards and non craftable


Also I'll have to check with my artisan, but there are powerupscraftable that increase elemental damage at the expense of normal. Might besomething to look intoif/when elementalgets fixed, as elemental damageis a fixed number having no range, andshould therefore be immune to the severe mitigation effects you get when fighting mobs way over your level, orhigh-defense builds including Center of Being etc.

Elemental damage is totally broken on live. There is supposedly a fix on TC, but it doesn't work right either. Check the Commando forum, it's a big issue there. So the bottom line is that elemental damage is broken for the forseeable future.
