Thread: Gorax or Krayt?

They have the same properties, but does the crafting process treat one as better than the other?
example: You have Gorax shards and Krayt tissue with the exact same atributes (say dmg: 100 Spd: -0.4) and you use the same materials and make the same weapon. Is there a difference in quality?

They can't be used in the same weapon (with one or two odd exceptions). You either use ABPHs (Krayt) or APFMs (Gorax) in the weapon. And they should work exactly the same for the weapons that they go in, but they are not interchangeable.

Both are about equal but are used in different weapons.
For example in pistols Gorax go into FWG's
Krayt would go into DL44XT's
Both pistols are usable by all professions and the best of their damage type (fwg kinetic, dl44xt energy).

Krayt tissues are usually more valuable.
1. Krayts are higher CL than Gorax - it will take a group of 4 or more to kill krayt (havent tried this since they upped difficulty).
2. Krayt tissues are used in far more weapons then gorax shards.
3. Stats on krayt tissues seem to cap higher then gorax shards, so the end result would be a better damage weapon.
That said, I wouldnt pay more than 100K per tissue of any stat because that is what makes decent guns cost rediculous prices like 10 million etc. The most I'll charge for any gun is 5 million, and that had better be one hellova gun. I sell krayt weapons right now and the best items I have top out at 3 million. Im also lucky enough to be in a guild that can field enough players to hunt krayt on our own.
