I'm a wookie. As far as I can tell, a wookie can only wear 5 socketable peices of clothing at once. This means I need 5 +4 expermentation tapes, correct? (5*4=+20 for my two points)... If this true 
... It'll be hard to find find 5 +4 tapes. Any help here?

I'm a wookie too and I've never used skill tapes but don't they take up 1 socket? If so I have 4 peices of clothing (hood, battle harness, belt, gloves) each with 4 sockets which give me 16 sockets total right?
So I only need mostly +1 skill tapes with a few +2?

You can't put multiples of the same skill mod in the same article of clothing.
IE: If you put in a +1, and then another +1 in the same piece of clothing, you'll only get +1 from that piece of clothing
Anyways, all multiples will be useful. Say if you find 2 +8s, then you could find 1 +2 and 2 +1s, or any other random combinations.

I don't know the exact total, but its a point total that can't be exceeded, not a tape total.

I got 20 points in these pieces.
+3 WS toolkit (backpack slot)
+8 Tape in Padded Armor
+2 in Gloves
+4 Waist Wrap
+3 Hood
Sad thing is since I get 3 from the WS kit I have to Vendor my Backpack to do anything since I can't just take it off.

There is no "tape total", but tapes that are put on the same peice of clothing do not stack, only the highest is takin into account... and the point total cap is +25.

Once I got a ring with two sockets. Why I have no clue, and it was like seven months ago, so who knows if they still happen. Also I was of the impression that wookies got armor now. So wouldnt that be another place to put attachments.
