Thread: Someone gave me 2 9-125 Rancor teeth...

I know the limitations on these. Slow speed and high HAM. Plus that miserable range modifier! But 125 max seems too good to pass up. My question is, what best to use them in? I'm thinking probably a couple of 2-handed swords, but does anyone have a better idea? I just don't want to waste what may be the only decent one I see.

A two-handed sword is tempting, but now that the swordsmen have the scythe blade I would at least make one one-handed curved sword for those fencers out there... I would make one of each, but the choise is up to you...

I faced the same decision. I had seven 7-165 teeth. I ended making a run of 30-290 one handed curved swords. I contemplated the two handed curved sword, but the problem is speed. These teeth bump the curved sword into power hammer speed territory, but don't do as much damage as the hammer. So I opted for one handed curved swords. Master fencers don't have to worry about speed. A buffed master fencer will appreciate them as a PvE weapon.

I'm not a smith myself but I've teeth like yours. Could a WS use this for a vibroblade? (or any else fencer's weapon beside curved)

Not a vibroblade. It would have to be a curved sword, Rykk blade, 2 handed curved sword or 2 handed cleaver

I made a Ryyk Blade that ended up w/ some 70-270 or so stats (at work so I don't have the stats in front of me). The speed got knocked up to 3.2 or so, which is still below that of a gaffi stick, and the max-dam is a good 40-50 pts better than the stick, which is somehting...
But yea, I don't see these things being much more use than a master fencer's PvE weapon. However, if they ever add mitigation to mobs which they said they eventually will, then the weapons will be just so much wall decoration. Try giving them a cute name or something so it'll at least be a nice conversation piece later.
