Ok this is more retarded coding on SOE's part.

I finally made a 20 min 40 max damage -0.40 speed Projectile Feed Mech. My previous ones were 20 min 39 max -0.39 speed. The UT on my Axedite is 646 and we just got some insane 893 UT Quadran Steel.

Made a bunch of PFM's in a factory and tried to make a FWG5, Striker Pistol and Launcher Pistol with the new PFMs.

FWG5 and Launcher Pistols min/max damage and speed were UNCHANGED.

The Striker got +1 max damage and speed lowered to 1.9 from 2.0.

This is totally stupid. A component with +1 max damage over an older component using resources with lower stats should affect every weapon that uses the component.

I've also noticed that in APH's using an Irolunn Reactive Gas that is slightly higher in OQ using all the same other 4 resources for the APH is allowing me to hit 410 max damage on my T21's vs. 409 using the slightly lower OQ Irolunn. I'm talking like 24 or 25 points of OQ here. Stats on the APH's are 20 min 41 max -0.41 speed.

What's the damn point of trying to improve components if there is no affect on the final weapon stats and why do components with identical stats able to give improvements? This trial and error and pure guessing from a crafting aspect is rediculous and the code really should be less sensetive and more accurate when calculating the final stats of the weapons.

I also make composite armor and have used 38% Stun Segments and actually gotten 39% Stun on the final peices of composite armor.

It seems that we don't see the decimal place in weapon construction.

Your 39 max dam PFM might have been a 39.4

Your 40 max dam PFM might be a 39.8

So you aren't gaining 1 extra damage but 0.4 extra damage.

For some weapons this will push them towards the next point, for others it will not.

As an illustration I made some sword cores that appeared to have identical stats although the resource was marginally worse. I thought I had gotten away with it (saving the good stuff I was running out of). I made some 2h curved swords and they were 1 lower in max damage, because it just tipped it under the round-up value.

I guess itcan kind of be frustrating, but I just live with it. So when a spawn appears that is 3/1000ths better I jump at it.... it just might tick the weapon over the edge to thenext point of damage.

If you use Fooman's tool it will list the Max Expected Experimentation Value. You can see in advance how much the new resource will effect the final build as it shows the percentage with the number after the decimal point.

Agreed. I was making 5.8 speed DXR-6b's for ages, then made better stocks that were 0.02 faster, and the speed went down to 5.7. T21s etc weren't any quicker. So it just depends on the hidden formula.
