I used to be a weaponsmith and I am having trouble remembering somthing. Player made stocks can add 40 to the min andmax damage of a weapon correct? If this is the case why am I not seeing higher damage weapons on the vendors out there? I know they also add to the HAM costs, but this seems negligable with buffs. Am I wrong about the stats on stocks, or this there some other negative aspect to them that keeps people from stocking their weapons?

I guess the operative question now would be, higher than what? Are you sure that the weapons aren't stocked already? Just about everyone I know already stocks their T21s, for example, just because that difference in damage can command a much higher price. There's an especially high market for stocked rifles, so i've seen several other models offered as well in the last few months.
Assuming you're correct though, the reason you aren't seeing too many stocked weapons is not so much the HAM cost, but the speed mod. Stocks generally slow a weapon down by .3-.4, which can be a huge deal in a carbine (although not so much in a rifle).
**EDIT** editted out the stupid.

From what I've seen, if it can take a stock people put one in. Me personally, I have stocked and non-stocked models of everything available.
You'd probably have to throw out some stats of what you're not sure of, for us to be able to tell if that is the case or not.

Laser carbine, max damage 315, is that damage stocked or unstocked? Sounds like I may have been wrong in my assumption that they werent stocked. Thanks for the answers guys

I find little market for unstocked rifles, so I usually only make stocked versions. The only guns I will consistantly make in a non-stock variety is Laser and DXR6 carbs, with varients using both adv. and standard rifle barrels. Beyond that, I don't find the non-stocked weapons to be worth making as they rarely sell.

For many on T21's the ham costs are also relative, speed is actually not of any concern to most rifleman but Ham costs are. If you are using player crafted stocks then you are increasing your hams by roughly 27 to all, especially mind. The easy way to tell if they are using stocks already on their T21's is to look at the Ham costs. If it's roughly 95-105mind ham costs then you know they are using a stock, howeverif it's more like 75-85mind then you know they are not using stocks.
