As i am now painfully grinding out FS exp, I wondered if anybody could tell mewhat difference an amazing assembly success makes over a great?

I havent noticed any great differences, andI hesitate to spend any more xp on the assembly tree unless i can be sure it actually does something.

Thanks for any help

I believe amazing successes allow for you to reach your max dmg with fewer points. Thus allowing a few extra points to stick in another row. That's just what I noticed.

A small correction here if I may... the above comment is basically correct concerning experimentation successes, but the original question was regarding assembly successes- two very different things. I am surprised at how many weaponsmiths are not aware of the distinction.

With regards to amazing successes during assembly, there are a few urban legends that maintain it provides a better path for experimentation or otherwise changes the experimentation path, but I see no validity to these claims. There is a big difference between a great assembly success and the grades below it (moderate, good, etc.) but I don't see any difference between great and amazing assembly successes.

The sad truth is that this behavior basically renders one whole FS crafting tree irrelevant, no...?

On an amazing assembly, I have found two different outcomes:

1) The base stats are higher then normal (i.e. on a great you get a 22% to start, and on the amazing you'd get higher) - might save you one point of experimentation overall

2) The cap for the max for every stat is higher (i.e. normally you can put 5 boxes of experimentation into Stat A, but now you can put 7 boxes) - might allow for a better product after experimentation.

Why does this happen? No idea here, and I'm sure there might be other outcomes as well, or the whole process is buggy . The second outcome has happened only rarely, but let me make a 980 power action buff pack, and a 420 max damage DXR-6b which *should* have been a 363.

I havent noticed this effect. It may happen, but the difference must be fractional.

I have seen this when using yellow text cubes on DXR6-b s. Instead of getting a 20% initial start, giving about 70% max exp, i sometimes (twice so far) get a 25% initial assembly. I cant remember if it was on an amazing success. The DXR6-bs come out nice - about 410 max with a green cube.

No. That's completely resource dependant.

Amazing success on assembly have yielded 420+ T21's, +20 riffle barrels. Very rare bug, if it is.

While technically this statement is true, 99.9% of your amazing assembly successes will not provide this bonus. I've had a few of this phenomenon happen, but it is scarce enough that it is most likely a bug.

So, my conclusion is thatit's nice to have the FS assembly tree, but dont waste time grinding it.

I am going to concentrate of the Exp and Critical avoidence ones when they unlock.

Thanks for the help

Look at the %es before experimentation. After an amazing you'll usually have a couple extra %.

This will translate to a better weapon with the same experimentation.
