Has anyone managed to not just unlock a branch, buthad any real progress with getting the experiance to take the skills in that branch?

Its bad enough grinding weaponsmith in the first place just to master it, I am sure i found it easier getting FS xp with my other cahracter going the combat route that i am just master weaponsmith. (not using a macro... perhaps im insane for not using one, if im not, i will be when its mastered )

I grinded WS without any macros once (LOTs of pressing enter hehe), was hell. I give you credit for still doing it in this day and age.

lol, after posting that i gave my head a shake wondered what on earth i was thinking and made a marco to grind projectile rifle barrels in sets of 3. it does seem stupid looking at it, it would be like expecting someone to master dancer by not making a macro to flourish, but by constantly pressing corrosponding buttons all day, even then that would be easier.

Still, as i'm not logged on with my FS character, and im not even close to glowing as this chcharacter is only young... how much crafting exactly is involved in just getting novice fs crafting? never mind mastering the whole "profession". unlike combat profs that make money while grinding, unless i want to craft everything by hand and think factories are for wusses, surely crafting professions are going to loose money by trying to unlock FS, ontop of getting RSI...

I unlocked the Assembly branch about a week into Phase I. In the subsequent time I was able to get up to Force Assembly2 grinding Heavy Warhead Mechanisms without a macro. Then a friend gave me an in-game macro to use, which helps a lot. I currently have about 250K FS crafting xp banked, and would need another two days at my current rate to get the 350K for Force Assembly III. However, instead I think I'll unlock the next branch and use my accumulated xp to get thefirst skill boxin the nextForce crafting branch.

I usually only do two sets a night (a set being maxing out 120K WS xp, which converts to 24K FS crafting xp). I could do more, but I don't want to burn out on it. With the macro it takes about 33-35 minutes to do a set; it was taking 40+ minutes to do a set without the macro.

If you don't have the materials for crafting heavy warheads, then you'll do better to craft wind harvesters.

The exchange is a bit lower (8:1 instead of 5:1), but at 429xp per assembly, you might get there before pub29.

Xanevae how do you make a macro that creates stuff in sets of three?
