When and why did they change the spraystick to energy damage instead of Acid? This was one of my favorite weapons and now it is useless. I just made a buch to get sliced before I drop WS to replace my low condition 1.3sec spraystick and i saw that it was energy damage? What gives? It was acid for a long time and I don't see enuf of em to say that they were some kind of exploit. Fact most people think I'm jedi and that its a saber.
I give up, dropping WS this week..

Time for a reality check.. spraystick was never acid in live.. it "should" be but is not.

Well, the tusken rifle used to be kinetic, not it's energy. I don't quite remember about the spraystick though.

errr are we talking Beta or Gold?
In gold they both was energy, there was talk to make them acid/kinetic but it never got past talk stage
I do remeber that devs said something like *Only melee fighters will have kinetic damage* or something like that

When the game went live, Tuskens were kinetic. It was quietly changed about 2-3 months after release and the developers have since stated that it would not be changed back because they considered kinetic damage to bea "protected" damage type intended to be exclusively available to the melee classes. (No word on why the Striker Pistol is still kinetic damage.)
Spraysticks have always been energy damage.

Sadly, when I read it TH went on at length about how it never was kinetic and kept telling us that changing a damage type was too complex to do due to balance (not that it was a bother with T21s).
But yeah, I never remember a spraystick being acid damage...though they do take chemical release mechanisms and projectile feed mechanisms... O_o

And yet flamethrowers don't. Go figure.

I consider a projectile like a rifle bullet pretty damn kinetic...
What do you think?

I would definetly agree. I mean come on, a rifle that has no beam should be kenitic, acid, or blast (if it has a warhead). What is so bad about having some common sense when it comes to damages? Hopefully when the CB comes the damages and their weilders will be sorted out. It seams pretty basic to me.

Spraysticks were most definitely Acid at some point. Honestly, I can't remember if that was Beta or Gold, but I do remember using them quite a bit as a Rifleman in the early days, when anything inside of 30 meters was a Rifleman Killer. I haven't used a Spraystick in a long time, actually, but if both they and the Tusken are Energy now, does that mean that the only non-energy Rifle is the Jawa? Egads.
Oh, and I suspect that they left the Striker Pistol alone because no one is damn fool enough to actually equip one.
