Just saw on the Tarq trade server a MWS pay 1 mil for a scythe Schema. Guys quit that crap! yoiu just drive the price of WS loot up and you arent going to make back enough to warrant paying 1 mil on schematic. You will make 1.2 mil, 1.6 mil max. Get some guildies to collect that stuff for you. We haveto put an end to outrageuos server inflation that is perpertrated by kids who think there loot is worth more than it really is!

I'd actually consider 1mil for a scyth schm a good deal, Figure that costs you 1 mil, and you get the geo loot for another mil, and you then make 4 scyths from each schm, sell each for 1mil and make an easy 4mil, a 2mil profit...which is none to bad in my book...
As for your guildies getting it for you, if you have ones that can or will, good for you, but personally I have a demand for scyths far greater than any number of schms I can get.

It is nice when my guild mates give me nice krayt tissue and other stuff but if you want something there is the old saying that you have to spend money to make money.

On Lowca, geo loot for 4 scythes is going to be closer to 2 million (a set of 7 yellow cubes will be close to 1 million each and probably more since nerf)
and selling scythes are between 750-1M and probably alot less if you end up with aspeed slice.
I don't make many scythes anymore because its at the point where there is no money in it, hopefully others come to this conclusion and prices of loot will drop; but I'm sceptical.

Well, I don't slice mine, so I don't have to worry about the speed slice. And the mil for loot was just a ball park number that I tossed out...If I were to use yellow cubes and pastes I probably would charge 1.5ish mil to keep the profit margin the same.

I can speak only of my experience on Tempest:
I've never paid more than 500k for a Scythe schematic. Most of the ones I have I got in trade. Someone would bring me their schematic, I would provide everything else. Scythe for them, schematic use for me. Over time that builds up. Geonosian loot on Tempest isn't as outrageously expensive as it sounds like it is in other places. Not sure why.
My in-game auctions taught me one thing: never try to guess what people willpay for a weapon. If you're bored, have a look at the auction results I have posted on my website (link in sig). What people were willing to pay for some of that stuff is outrageous. Example: I paid 1mil each for some 109 min/180 max Acklay bones (there were 7, I thought it was a pretty fair price). All have been used to make hammers. Not one of them has sold for less than 5.5 million.
5.5 million!?! Every time I hear someone whine about the crafters having all the money, I just laugh.

Yeah i did buy my Scythe Schems too for not more then 600k.

Dang I charge 5k for building a scythe, and thats becauseI have people who bring me the schematic and the 3 cubes.
Personally I can't see charging a outragous price on something if the customer brings me the main parts. And that covers what i normally charge per cpu on my weapons to begin with.
But I'm also on the Test Center, so our economy isn't hyper-inflated on loot weapons as other servers.

On wanderhome I pay 300k for Scythe schematics. If someone brings me a schematic I will make them a scythe free and keep the 2nd use. Scythes normally sell fro around 600k.

there is profit all day long in scythes , even with schems at 1 mill each,( they have been on chimaera for ages) , as long as u always make 4 per schem (unless your loot is great then 2 is ok) , i always slice scythes aswell, speed sliced scythes dont seem to loose as much value as other speed sliced weapons, and u can get a nice return on a half decent damage sliced one,

I'm not big into the loot game. If someone wants me to build them a scythe, I ask that they bring me all the main components, I'll supply the resources. I usually charge 40k for each scythe, but both people are happy. Customer get 2 scythes for 80k (50k for guild people), I make a nice profit from the little resources I use.

Wow! Look at the difference in prices ranging each server. That is amazing to me. Perhaps I am lucky. But I work a simliar system on schematics Felton. They get one free weapon off of each schematic. Now only if my berzerker schematic would be worth a damn. Then I get the rest. I really got told off on my server's forums concerning the outrageous inflation and ppl paying so much for LOOT. Guess what someone is willing to pay someone will sell it for.

yeah i often find that on trade boards u never get what the weapon is worth , i normally place the wepaons on my vendor now at a price i consider the weapons to be worth , im in no hurry to sell items, but i do find that they are gone withing the same week anyway .
I also value nice damage sliced scythes at alot more than double there unsliced value aswell , on my server people sell standard weapons (i:e T21's ) with 30-35% damage slices for 6 to 10 times their original value , id like to do the same with rarer weapons myself but normally find i value a 30-35% damage slice to 3-5 times the weapons presliced value , which is more than fair imo ,considering how hard it is to get those slices for me anyway ..i dont think im the only unlucky one , i have to slice scythes in bulk to get some nice ones.
