Thread: Krayt De-10 Question

I'm trying to collect pieces to make myself my first really nice blaster. I have looted a de-10 yellow barrel and schematic and I'd like to know what else I need? I read 3 krayt tissues are optional for the handler. If that's the case what sort of tissue should I be looking to buy stat wise and about how much would it cost for 3 tissues? I also saw a scope can be added. I got some scope from a themepark I think, is that worth using or not? When I take the stuff to a weaponsmith are his resources (metal used and such) gonna determine how good the gun is also?

Thanks

Correct, your gonna need 3 identical krayt tissues for a DE10

Best thing to do here is get a few trustworthy friends together and hunt your own, in the long run it will be cheaper. But usually any tissue over +50 damage would be the best. A good thing to do is set up one person to loot until they get what what they are looking for and then a new person loots until they get a certain item. At the very least you will end up with some krayt composite segments that most Armorsmiths can use.

Scopes right now, I'm not personally impressed with. Personally I think your better off without it. As fora Weaponsmith, your best bet is to find a 12pt smith, if they have 12 experimentation points then most likely they have been around a while and will have good resources.

Thanks

For the krayt I would be more interested in the speed than the damage. Since they use plumbum iron (always very low on OQ/CON) you won't be able to get the speed down without good speed krayt.

As for the scopes, it's your call. The themepark scopes are only good for making weapons with insane wound chance and decent range. If you're more interested in just range I would have a WS make you a scope with maxed out range. I always ask my customers and they usually ask for my +40 ideal scopes.

Thanks for the response. Another question about the scope. Is it basically optional (leave it off or add it) and what effect one way or the other does that have on the final outcome?

Thanks

Scopes will also add HAM costs to the weapon. A WS can get the HAM down to 1 HAM and still have a +10-16 to the ideal range.

I was thinking this was common knowledge. O_o

However, if you're making a good krayt DE-10 you should be slapped for using it in PvE, and I can't remember the last time I saw someone go into PvP without buffs.

Finally, my +40 scopes only add 17 HAM. Not the biggest deal. I also offer the +21 with 5 HAM, but so far I've had no takers.
