any of you have multi-weaponsmith shops?
How do you split up who makes what weapons?
is there anything else that I should consider before getting into this?
any horror stories or all good experiences?

my experience is this -- I buy from fellow weaponsmiths the stock I dont have time to make and re-sell on my vendor. It benefits both parties IMO.
I tend to get real busy with custom orders and all my factories are usually producing something for my shops ( I have 3 shops) and that is the reason I buy from my fellow smiths.
I don't think you will make credits dividing weapons among 3 weaponsmiths in 1 shop.

I did this once, and we split it ranged and melee, and made the exception enhanced weapons, IE if the one who did ranged made some acklay batons they could stock them and so on.
As long as you set the limits before setting up you should be ok.

There are three smiths involved in our partnership. One runs the Melee, Krayt/Special, Bargain, and Resource Vendors. The other runs the Ranged and Heavy Weapons/Grenade Vendors. I run the Damage Sliced, Speed Sliced, Powerups, and Crate Vendors. The other two partners were together for a year or so and then I was invited to join a few months ago.
If we're running some weapons we'll usually let the others know in case they need a crate or two to restock and for loot/loot schematics we just add up our loot costs for items craftedat the end of a sales period and deduct it from our sales.
We all use Merchant's Friend and just split our respective sales 3 ways at the end of each monthso if my share of parter A's sales is 2 mil and his share of my salesis 1 mil then I'll just offer something to his vendor for 1 mil, he buys it and the split is settled.
My partners joined resource stocks long ago but I've maintained my own seperate stocks though we all have access to each other's stocks if there's anything we need.
The main reason we joined up was to make it possible to keep well-stocked vendors with lots of variety without making it a full-time job. I was on my own for several months before the merger and it was all I could do to keep up with mining, crafting, stocking, etc. From a money standpoint it works out fine as we are a very high volume business, but we make weapons at the highest quality level available on our server and with by far the best selection of product so it's not surprising that players like shopping at our place.

If you were looking to divvy up the work, one could do melee weapons, one ranged and one gernade and rocket launchers (being that they are so much work on there own).
But I'm greedy and want all the buisness for my self

From a pure business standpoint, if that is the way you play the game, make sure you have all the details worked out. If there is two of you I would split the ranged/melee up. I would say that both do enhanced weapons and see if you can get a newer player to just make gernades, until they nerf xp, for those FS grinders.
I would have to say I have formed a unique relationship with a fellow weaponsmith on our server and we ask each other everything all the time since we are in the same guild. We make whatever weapons we want, well he does I am limited to melee because of a few very old resources, and have vendors in the biggest mall on the server. I harvest newer resources for the both of us since I have access to so many lots. I don't charge him but 1 credit per 100k stack. I'm not filthy rich by any means but I have enough credits to spend if I want something.
My advice have fun with this game and don't look at it as a business or else you'll quit the game.
Oh yeah he hooked me up with four Nightsister vibro motors for a real cheap amount so I could make my first Energy Lances, coolest thing in game that I have done by far.
