Thread: Question on capping an ALR

I recently looted 2 sets of those enhanced power cells (4) 179 dmg/ -.75 speed/ -8action cost and (5) 176 dmg/-.79 speed/ -8 action cost


My question is are either of these enough to cap max damage/maintain good speed/have low sac?

depending on server, a 12 point smith should be able to hit at least 1170 damage, and cap sac, and get the speed pretty low, then speed slice it and you got a 350 base DPS rifle id bet

With what components?


I doubt very much post-CU components would damage cap an ALR with 179 maxenhancements. Even with pre-CU it'd be a close run thing.

used some 182's to make an ALR tonight, got 1174 max dam, 82 sac... tier 4 sliced for speed down to 2.24 and the base dps is now 368


too bad it's blast damage and all i can do is look at it

Well I had it made and I am please with the results.


Max Damage 1163


Base Speed 2.45


Sac 82


This was made with the 179 cells.

Sweet. I'm assuming if you looted these you're a BH. You might want to make some scatters with the other set of 4. Still You could sell them for a pretty nice profit even if you can't use them yourself.

A friend of mine had looted 4 cells that we used to make 4 scatter pistols. We did 2 Kinetic and 2 Energy (looted scopes used) the best one came out:


High Capacity Scatter Pistol

Base Speed 2.02 (1.78 sliced for speed)

Damage 346 - 946

Accuracy Bonus 62

Est Dps 320.12 (363 new Dps after slice)

Sac 65

Eventhough it is energy it still rocks. The other 3 were similar but sac of 66.I still have a stack of 5 176 cells and a stack of 4 casings havnt decided what im going to do with those yet. I feel for those who had their energy turned into blast, hopefully the fix will come soon.

such questions are always server-dependant. for me, those cells, with pre-cu components(another large factor) will cap damage and maintain good speed and excellent SAC.
