Thread: Weapon Repair Kits

My friend gave me a bowcaster, but it's condition is pretty low. I bought a weapon repair kit and tested it on some other guns I have, and one of them broke. I'm afraid to use it on the bowcaster now. What are the chances of the bowcaster breaking? Is there a way I can increase my success rate in repairing the weapon? Should I pick up a couple boxes in Artisan?

In my PA there are 2 weaponsmiths and we both sell weapon repair kits. My friend sells his for 1200 creds with the added parts and they are 98% effectivity. Mine are 99% with no added extras built in as I have made both and see no difference with the ones with the added componants compared to the ones without.

My repair kits I sell for the same amount and they fly off the vendor that quick Im having to up the price to 1500 to slow down the rate off sales so I can keep up.

My question is, what difference do these added componants make? I have asked a few of my customers if they wish me to make repair kits with the parts but warned the price will go up if I do and they have all said they are happy with the ones I sell. I am reluctant to put in the added componants from what I have learned but could someone pour a little light onto why I should make these with all the extras please?

Thanks in advance.

ironically I have 3 on my vendor at 200cr since the day i opened shop experimented to 98% and never sold them .I dont mind really, if they ever do become popular perhaps artisans would have something to sell.

Because the schematics are in artisan, not weaponsmith.

Now i havent looked in while, months actually, are the optional parts still able to be put in? I think they used to be able too? Also what does it really help?

They changed the schematic in the patch before last, the optional slots are gone and it only uses metal with 100% conductivity required.
