'Lo there smithies.

I have a quick question regarding weapons and levels. I realise it will no longer be possible to make decent weapons out the really low-level stuff like DLT20's and the like, but what about the higher-level-yet-not-master weapons?

For example, under the new system, is it possible to make an LD-1 or Explosive Shell Sniper with similar stats to a T-21 or Adv. Laser? The frog weapons on TC came out with significantly lower damage and DPS, but could you change that using krated componants and a good slice, or is there a real hard-cap that prevents even higher-level weapons ever being comparable with master weapons?
