I've created an electric polearm - the one that uses Ditanium steel. I'd like to know how this stacks up with others. I know a lot of people attribute the result on Ditanium to a stat cap issue, but I dunno. The Ditanium I used wasn't that far from the cap and it gave me an 8% rating in usage. Still, the final result doesn't look bad, but it's hard to tell with no comparisons. I used Ditanium with an 810 SR, a steel with 998 SR and a legacy reinforcement core that is 23-50, -1.56 sp, -6 Attack cost.
Final result on EP
Attack speed - 2.39
Damage 220-527
Element Damage 43
Base DPS 174.03
SAC 120
Attack speed - 2.39
Damage 220-527
Element Damage 43
Base DPS 174.03
SAC 120

Forgive me for sounding stupid but... legacy reinforcement core?
What did I miss?

These were cores made in a factory pre patch. They have more damage, more speed and lower SAC. I can't make anything close to it now.

That was my guess. If you want to make one with post-cu cores, then I will add it into my list. .Post it in here please.

I think it is just a low end lance that needs no components. I made a few on TC and they came out just fine.
Might want to make a factory run of them just in case they decide to add some parts though

Answered my own question more or less. Found some 855 SR Ditanium. It added 70 points to damage and 30+ to DPS. Amazing that that small of a difference - 810 SR to 855 SR - would make that much of a difference. But I guess since the resource cap spread is so small, a small difference can result in a big difference.
HOWEVER - I was not able to make a manufacturing schematic from this. I'm not sure why, because it gave me the option on the stuff I made before and after. Just not the Electric Polearm

Something is weird with the resources and how they affect the final product.
When making an ordinary Adv Reinforcement core:
First I tried to use some 770 Shock Ditanium Steel. I was just testing things out; not wanting to use my best stuff. The result is a red bar next to it in the crafting screen, so I stop there not wanting to waste anything if it's going to suck.
I go a step up to some 813 Shock Ditanium and I got a green bar about 3/4 the way up. 43 points in shock almost tripled it. I go ahead and make the core, experiment fully in the speed, since that is the only stat that you can make any viable improvement in, throw the rest on the damage.
I go to make an Electric Polearm, using the same 813 Ditanium and get no trace of a color bar next to it.
Ok so maybe it doesn't efect the final component, kind of like the inert gas in munitions.
Put in the 2 power conditioners, and some 980 shock iron for the final metal.
I get a great success in the assembly and 2% for every attribute and only 2 slots for which to put my experimentation points into. I fill them all up to 13% naturally to see what I get.
Attack speed 2.57
Damage 180-483
Elemental Damge 42
Accuracy Bonus 1
Base DPS 145.05%
Well that frustrated me a little. so I start to make another except I use the 770 shock Ditanium instead and get halfway yellow bar. Is this completely messed up or did I miss something *new* and totally stupid?
I didn't bug it... yet.

Ah, well that explains the core.
Iwas fairly certain that I was looking at the right Stats on the shock though, and i'm 100% positive I didn'thands on some 0 shock ditanium
I bugged it in game a few minutes after relogging and checking it again.
The resourceis Bria Server-Towib(Ditanium Steel) if someone else on bria has the same and can check and see if they have the same issue.

I can answer your problem with the adv reinforcement core. The attribute you need there is Unit Toughness, not shock.
As for the EP, it's a little tough to explain. There are ranges for the stats on each attribute. I've got a list which I copied from this forum a long time ago. Just do a search on resource stat caps and you'll probably find it. For Ditanium steel, the range on shock is between 785 and 865. It will never be lees than 785 or more than 865. So for experimental purposes, it treats 785 as a "0" and 865 as a "100". Since the range is so narrow, an 800 shock Ditanium is much worse than an 850, even though you would think the difference is small. The only thing that puzzles me is you say you used a 770 shock Ditanium, which is below the supposed floor. That could mean my chart is wrong (very possible), or you're looking at the wrong stat. But if it is a 770 SR and it works better than an 813 SR, I'd bug it.
