So I was curious about the DPS and what makes the good stuff...
So I did some experiments
I manufactured 4 of each :
A = Blaster-Pistol Barrel ( Experimented all points on Dam )
B = Blaster-Pistol Barrel ( Experimented all points on Spd )
C = Blaster Power Handlers ( Experimented all points on Dam )
D = Blaster Power Handlers ( Experimented all points on Spd )
A = Blaster-Pistol Barrel ( Experimented all points on Dam )
B = Blaster-Pistol Barrel ( Experimented all points on Spd )
C = Blaster Power Handlers ( Experimented all points on Dam )
D = Blaster Power Handlers ( Experimented all points on Spd )
Gun in question was a DL44-XT No advanced components
Figures listed are DPS, Speed , and Dam
A + C ( base 192.19 2.29 252-628 ) Exp Dam on the Gun ended with 245.0 2.29 374-750
A + D ( base 193.64 2.26 249-625 ) Exp Dam on the Gun ended with 247.7 2.26 371-747
B + C ( base 194.61 2.24 247-624 ) Exp Dam on the Gun ended with 249.2 2.24 369-746
B + D ( no base information rec'd ) Exp Dam on the Gun ended with 253.0 2.20 368-744

A + C ( base 192.19 2.29 252-628 ) Exp Spd on the Gun ended with 226.5 1.94 252-628
A + D ( base 194.71 2.25 250-626 ) Exp Spd on the Gun ended with 230.2 1.90 249-626
B + C ( base 195.51 2.24 249-625 ) Exp Spd on the Gun ended with 231.3 1.89 249-625
B + D ( no base information rec'd ) Exp Spd on the Gun ended with 223.8 1.85 246-622
A + D ( base 194.71 2.25 250-626 ) Exp Spd on the Gun ended with 230.2 1.90 249-626

All this experimentation was placed in its line specifically, if I got an Awesome Success ( in damage ) any remainder pts I had I placed in the opposite( speed ) .
One thing that was also brought to my attention was the fact that Spec Ability Cost may be a factor now.. and anything less than 100 should be a goal at least with pistols.. not sure about other weapons

As a 12pt you could just check by seeing how much the dps goes up on 1 point in speed and 1 point in damage, whichever is highest experiment that. Seems to always be damage for me. Hopefully its a linear formula not this diminishing returns stuff, so 1point to go from 90 to 97% is gives the same increase as 1 point from 29 to 36%.

I played around with AVBU and VK's. Did not really matter how I experimented on the AVBU(Tried full damage, full speed and half and half), the end combine on the VK was within 1 DPS on all three. I got max DPS by experimenting full damage in the final combine, put left over points in speed.

Great work! Saved me from pulling all my damn hair out testing it myself. (wasted through about 20 krayt power handlers so far...)
I'm going to continue work on carbines and rifles to see if this holds true with the slower weapons... If anyone beats me to it, post here!

Pretty much confirms what I have seen all around. Max out speed on components and damage on weapon. I haven't seen a gun yet where it didn't hold true. I also did it on ABVU and VK's and the same formula held. All I have to do is check reinforcement and sword cores, but I suspect they'll fall into line.
