Thread: Acklay Bones now worthless? YOU be the judge!
New comps? Are you sure you're a 12 point smith?
Stun Batons ONLY use a Reinforcement Core, which the Acklay Bone substitutes. I cannot craft and use a new reinforcement core in an Acklay StunBaton. I do not believe that Power Conditioners will have any stats that will affect the damage/speed/DPS of a Stun Baton also.
And I did hit the damage cap on both weapons. I put 10 exp points into damage and the remaining into speed.

My question here is whether you used preCU converted subcomps on the non-acklay enhanced baton ... if you did that may be why the acklay weapon is not drastically improved from the unenhanced baton (since preCU converted subcomps are better than what you will now be able to craft). Also on the acklay bone ... my guess is that you are hitting the dmg cap ... I've noticed that within my stocks of krayt adv blaster power handlers that the difference between the base tissues handlers and those made with awesome tissues is not significantly different in damage (still a bit of variation in speed).

He was asking if you used a new or old core in the NON-akalay baton.
The cap he refers to is not your experimentation cap, but the max cap for the weapon type. It's the same cap that makes a slice on a great weapon only come out 5%, but on a crappy weapon can come out 25-30%. Add to that the fact that the enhancements probably fall along a logarithmic scale now, and you find diminishing returnsfor the higher stat components. Under the old system,a bigakalay bone looked better on a baton than a hammer (say a 100% increase in damage compared to a 25% increase) because it was a straight linear relationship, but under the new system you might actually get a bigger gain with a large bone on a large weapon, because the base damage/weapon cap you have to work with is higher.
That being said, since they're both master level weapons, they'll probably come out quite similar.

Moron. Re-read the post you're flaming. It's too late to avoid looking stupid, but you could at least apologize.
