I know i could find this info if i searched in 30 posts, but if anyone feel like helping me in one post, please post your opinion.
I have been a weaponsmith for 1.5 years and could make all the best stuff in my galaxy, collected every best resource and component. I have not logged in to the CU more than 5 min. Do i have use for my resources and components now or should i just cancel my account as all the other players seem to do.

he is right... there really is no easy answer. I am also suffering from hand-wrangling as to whether or not I will quit. The best thing to do is make some test runs of weapons (20-30 ea) and sell them. Contact other smiths on your server to compare stats and prices. We are still needed, but to what extent we can be unique or competetive is hard to say this early on.

All your resources are as good as they were before, nothing changed.
I am actually having a lot of fun crafting the new weapons and playing with the new experimentation system.
Pity I cannot say the same for my jedi or for my combat char. ![]()

Depends on a lot of things. For one thing, there will be an even bigger difference between 10 pt and 12 pt smiths. If you area 12 pt smith, it's all good. Even if you aren't, you can probably pick up CA's cheap because a lot of people are ditching the game. If you have a lot of components left over from pre patch, that's another advantage. Damage and speed will be marginally higher and special action cost lower. It's not a huge difference, but unless they change things, you'll never get better components. Finally, they changed crafting altogether. It's based on the resource quality relative to the stat cap. I just did some AVBU that experimented out to 90%. They would have never done that on the old system. If you had good resources before, most will probably be better now. As far as I can tell, WS probably came out better than anyother crafting prof.

Don't listen to all those whiners out...
Just give it a try and test it for yourself.

Whatever it was that you enjoyed about Weaponsmith, go do it and see what you think

CDEF are artisan items not WS, you must make pistol barrels or some other component, maybee steel staves, I have not checked novice shems.
