speed and damage are a product of the components used and how you experiment the final product.like advance blaster power handlers experiment the damage up and i believe the speed also comes down.advance barrels make the gun a tad slower, but i think the extra damage is a bonus.now when you put the items together in the gun the other materials you use have a drastic effect on how it will turn out.the higher the conductivity and OQ on blasters and such the more damage and faster the weapon will be.but learning werwe to put your exp. points is part of the learning curve thats hard to explain, and im still trying to tweak my experimenting.
also the quality of materials dictates how far the item can be experimented up in a single line.so keep that in mind.look at the description of the item you can build and see what is more important to the item,(example)OQ 50% Cond.50% or SR 100%.those dictate what you want to look at on the mineral your intending to use.the higher the number in those specific areas the better the result.
hope this helps a little,i dont wana ruin the experience of having fun tweaking your schematics so i wont tell you how i experiment mine.its all the fun of the class.to the culmination of building a weapon with krayt tissues and praying to the assembly gods for great successes.

thx for the reply ,another noob question i guess i just got the first run on branch 4 for experimentation, but when i try to craft an item where do you get the option to experiment, all i get is add resource screen then it just gives me experimentation result.Has experiment been removed or did i miss something out ?
you can't experiment with only your crafting tool. sounds like you were not near any crafting stations when you tried to experiment. you can only experiment while you're either near a public crafting station (usually those found in cities) or a private crafting station (found in houses) or a droid with a weapon crafting module.
