well, they give a chance to non master ws to make decent weapons... I mean those who're not grinding barrels.

As stated used a replacement for sword cores, but it will slow the weapon considerably and usually will lower the min damage on a core you do yourself. Only thing I've bothered with was some teeth I got from an ancient bull which had 110 top damage I believe and the speed penalty was minimal to where a master swordsman/fencer wouldn't care. However all swordsman really care about anymore are good power hammers and scythes, and fencers good gaffi/stun batons so they sit in my shop collecting dust.

A master swordsman only has +75 speed I believe, so they still care about speed. A master fencer has +100 so speed is meaningless to them. I bought some 30-175 0.5s teeth and they're going to make some sweet one handed curved swords.

Bile-Soaked Rancor Teeth arn't so bad....but I don't go after the regular teeth.

I have yet to see a decent damage rated bile soaked tooth, and the HAM costs on those are pretty extreme.

If I remember correctly the only nice thing about the bile soaked is the speed cost isn't quite as high as the others but you can still easily beat it with decent advanced cores. I believe the only teeth worth using would be ones over 100 top damage, I didn't know they got as high as 150, Bober got some very nice teeth indeed. Probably one handed curves are your best bet since fencers don't suffer as much from the speed cost and like I mentioned before swordsman ironically don't use swords much.

welll as a novice WS I managed to get some toothe and instead of doing 80 max damage swords, they came out to something like 110/120 swords, so I still thnk they're usefull for novices.
