Well the way i did it was change my view of the draft schematics so they are in lines then guess a number i usually went with 100, then type /selectDraftschematic 100, after starting up your crafting tool, see which schematic pops up on the tool... go back to your draft schematic data pad list( identify it by name since when you chose 100 it showwed you which it was on your crafting tool) count up or count dwn to the one you desire then use that number ...example if the item you want to craft is 11 drafts before the 100th one then you would use 89 ...etc...etc... also do not stand next to a crafting station unless you always plan to stand next to one, cause some drafts require a station to be in the area to have the ability to craft an item, so if you find your number while next to a crafting station and then try to use that same number away from one it will not work, it throws off the count of useable drafts ...I hope this helps you out...
