Thread: Obtaining the Geonosian Blaster Schematic
The unconfirmed method I've been reading in various threads for obtaining the geonosian blaster schematic is false. The last Geonosian scientist (upstairs) before the doorway that leads to the Acklaydoesn't ask you to kill the Acklay. He gives you the code to the last door.
As far as I know, this schematic can only be obtained via random loot drop.
Does anyone know more than this? I've looted at least 10 geonosian blasters, one of which was of player crafted quality.
I heard a rumor thatthe schematic can only be looted from thehuman mercenaries (they spawn in the room past the terminal that requires the hotwired keycard), but who knows. I've camped these guys for hours several times and had no luck at all. I've camped the large room where the crazed geonosians spawn, no luck. I've of course camped the upstairs room near the front of the cave, no luck.
Myself and I'm sure many others would appreciate any additional insight.. But as far as I know it's just a random loot drop, which is fine, but if there is another method.. Sweet Jesus, spit it out!

NICE! I saw one of these on the Scylla trade forums going for 35 million credits - don't know what the final price was. How long did you have to camp the merc room, or did you just get lucky?

Yeah the mercenaries drop them. I only know personally of 4 possibly 5 on our entire server.
I've been camping that room every night this week for about 2-3 hours each night with my girlfriend. We're always the ones who get loot rights, but still no schematic.. This is a looted item, right? Not from a locker?
Only really good item that we've found isa DXR-6b rifle that has 367 max dmg with the HAM use of a pistol (all under 30).
On bloodfin there have been reliable reports of the geno pisotl schem coming off of crazed genoshains (extremely rare), Mercs (very rare), Acklay (very rare) and one confirmed report from the debri pile from behind the fire spider. I have gotten a couple of schematics for sword cores and reinforced cores off of crazed genoshians. The tenloss schematic you get from a scientist, though I have gotten it as loot drop from crazed genoshians, genoshian asistants and mercs.
This is all on bloodfin btw.
