Hello fellow Weaponsmiths,

I have quite a few customers asking me if I can increase the 0m accuracy mod on ranged weapons. Any way to do that?

Thanks

powerups maybe?

Or have them buy *TWO* weapons. One with a naturally high PB accuracy, and then the second weapon of whatever they wanted in the first place?

I think its a bug that never got fixed. You will notice that on the scopes it lists qualities one is point blank 0, and I am starting at 27 percent exp on advanced. You can experiment down ham increase range or increase ham, but nothing seems to improve the point blank.

Which is blatantly unfair. Some weapons could use a master working hard to get them a better point blank on some weapons like llcs and so on. You know where it could actually be of use. As it is now the only fighters getting any real benefit in pvp off scopes are pistoleers.

Heck a llc has a mod contrary to its special moves. Its great at 25 but the specials need to be done within fifteen.

It is entirely possible though that you might be able to increase it somewhat by experimenting the range on barrel, or even the stock, The only question is do you want to make this kind of sacrafice. Edgeing out a solid stat like damage. For a range modifier that nine out of ten people will not use properly.

True story a guy came and told me a gun I made him stunk. He told me first of all the the hamcost did more then the creatures he was fighting and the damage was no better over my low ham unscoped job. I asked him did you use the gun at point blank or at the suggested range on the weapon. His reply what is the difference. My god if migranes were venom. This guy would need to be milked daily to make the antivenom.

Basically if a customer asks you this tell him the truth it aint worth it at all. Plus ten points to ideal costs tripple that in the damage. I think there are about three ways you might get this coveted stat, but they are not worth it. In plain english the extra points to hit the range modifier gives you. You more then lose in the damage loss you create.

The weapon scope should really be where this stat can get its highest benefit. If someone is truely bent on the pointblank. The only acceptable option is the powerup.

Good info I suppose, and I agree about the cost to damage, but my customer doesn't care if the damage is 12/20, he just wants a good pointBlank and super-high Ideal. This is for sticking states, and is a special order.

So you suggest that maxxing range on the scope and stock will achieve this? I will give it a try, thanks.

Use scopes, or if you dont want the extra ham in there then just go with range exp.

Personally, adding a powerup and then selling the weapon, i think thats just bad business. Ask them what they prefer such as ham and so on. Most people dont care about ham nowadays because of buffs and such.

Though if you just exp. on the scope like cut the exp. damage on the scope and throw some points into the range that will work too so you dont degrade the weapons base damage stats by putting the points into the range. Extend the range on the scope is what i mean in short terms, see what they prefer as far as ham if there a ham hog then throw some into the efficency too.

Sticking states huh. I would suppose your looking at this with a carbine. In that case your customer might do well with a dh17 made with basic cumponents. You can get a significant decrease in the speed, and you can really experiment out the ranges, but it dosent sound right that the range modifier would help in sticking states. What would seem to be more important might be the wound chance stat of the weapon. In other words range modifiers only add damage to optimal hits.

If you get plus ten on the point blank all it can really do is add plus ten points damage to each successful hit. The preferable state altering carbine. Is one that is both fast and low ham. So useing a regular barrel over advanced, and perhaps no stock at all good final ingredients. I see no reason that a dh17 carbine might provide a speed of 2.6 then with a good speed slice the gun might get down around 1.5 add a crate of speed attachments and your in business. Dealing out low ham stat modifiers. That even if they fail once or twice. They are spraying out so fast, and are so cheap that your customer will get the state modifier he wants.

Also if memory serves a snub nosed dh17 carbine has a range modifier of plus on point blank.
